General discussion is for if you have a topic that's not really big enough to get its own thread, but you discuss it there.

OOC is to talk about things other than religion, to suggest a thread, to introduce yourself or give out information (like if you'll be away for awhile), to say howdy, or other things that are not discussions of religion.
