Susan and Allura show up at the hospital and find the doors blocked by furniture.

Susan looked at the barricades with concern.
"Wow....these insurance companies will do anything to get out of paying out claims, eh?"
She laughed nervously at her gallows humor.
Parking, she led the way to the doors.

"I wonder if Zoey did that ?"

Allura checks her phone, "Good news looks like Rory is doing better."

Susan felt the buzz of her phone,  but Allura got to it before she did.  She looked at the confirming message from Rory and nodded with a but of relief.
"That's good at least.  Okay, let me call Zoey "

She makes the call to her friend, her face showing thst she wasn't done worrying yet

Zoey answered her cell phone, sitting behind the wheel of Sam's car.  "Hey Suze, what's up, you okay?"  She glanced at Sam worried.

Susan let out an audible sigh of relief when she heard the voice of her friend
"Zoey!  What's going on? ?   Were at the hospital,  and it looks like they're trying to keep out grizzly bears or something "

"One of the patients is trying to keep out the Apocalypse, end of the world.  I had to get Sam out of there, he's not doing so good.  I'll explain later, can you guys meet us somewhere? The cave or my place works for me."

Susan frowned, but nodded.
"Okay, we'll meet you at your place."

"Hey, you want to call Rory and let him know we're meeting at my place?  I just got his text, but I need to concentrate on the road. I'll see you guys soon.  Anything else weird happen?"

Susan chuckled wryly.
"Of course something weird happened.  This is us, remember? I've got Allura with me, and it's more her story than mine, though.   Okay, I'll text him.  See you there."

Zoey hung up and put her phone away, turned to Sam in the seat next to her "Hey babe, you okay? Im going to take you to my place, everyone's going to meet us there."  She drove away from the hospital then.

Sam looked to Zoey, "Don't pass any cemeteries on the way."

Avoiding any and all cemeteries along the way, Zoey drove straight to her home.

End Scene

New Scene:

Meeting at Zoey's.

Sam is fast asleep. Rory arrives first.

Zoey, Rory and Sam are there as well as Otto.

Rory was waiting outside while checking the messages on his phone.

Zoey sighed with relief seeing her best friend waiting for them.  She got out of the car and waved to Rory as she went to the other side to help Sam.  "Hey Rory.  You doing okay?"

She helped Sam up the stairs into her apartment and set him on the couch.  "So, what do we do?"

Rory assisted Zoey as she was helping Sam get up the stairs. "I'm OK, I still hear everything people are thinking but I think that I can deal with it now."

Rory thought about the question for a few moments but didn't have an immediate answer. "About all the chaos you mean? It seems to be the dark Pharaoh's doing. He seems to think that it is some kind of gift."

"A gift? What the hell is that supposed to mean?  If this is a gift, can we return it?"

She walked over to the sink and got herself some water.  "Susan and Allura will be here shortly too.  Hey Sam, do you mind if I tell Rory what's going on with you?"

Sam mumbles something in his sleep.

Rory laughed at Zoey's joke. "Somehow, I get the impression that it doesn't work like that."

"Too bad."

Zoey frowned a little but let Sam sleep on the couch.  She turned to Rory and quietly spoke to her closest friend, "At the hospital, people were being cured or coming back from the dead.  Sam is a healer and I believe it was him.  But it's taking a major toll on him Rory.  He practically passed out on me there."

She told him about the woman and her mother, and how the older woman was dead one minute and then when they went into the room the older woman was alive again.  "I had to take the long way here so I wouldn't go by any cemeteries just in case.  And Susan said something weird happened with Allura, but it was her story to tell.  This goes beyond weird."

Susan pulled up with Allura.   She got out after parking,  looking at Rory with relief.
"DID you get my text?   I was having trouble with coverage,  for some reason. "

Rory looked at Sam, trying to assess his situation. "That makes sense, everyone seems to be supercharged and unable to control the boost in power. An ability like Sam's would be draining to begin with, it would only be made worse if he has been using it on everyone around. I'm sure that he'll be OK."

As Susan asked about the text Rory shook his head. "Sorry, I don't get signal in the temple. What text are you talking about?"

Susan smiled sheepishly.
"Um...actually it was to meet us here.  So no harm done, I guess?"
She shrugged.
"Alls well that ends well, I suppose."

"Im glad you two made it safely.  So what's going on with you, Allura? You ok?"  Zoey got herself another drink of water as the four friends talked.

"Ive never seen Sam this bad before."

The scene changes to the hospital and a figure is scene hooked up to all kinds of life support machines.

The figure tearing themselves free of the devices and body cast,

"I'm back." Alex Tridwell smiled.

The scene moved back to the leads at Zoey's.

Zoey was standing by the sink drinking her fourth glass of water, "Any ideas on what to do about this 'gift'?  Honestly, Im kind of curious to see what else I can do and just how boosted I am."

"I think that the only one who can stop this is the Pharaoh." Rory continued. "We need to stop him or convince him to stop... But I don't know if we can do either."

Susan looked at Rory curiously.
"The Pharaoh?   Are your sure?  Why would he want to do something that might potentially help us?"

Rory clammed up slightly upon being asked the question, clearly hiding something from the others. "I don't know."

Susan frowned, and the audience could clearly see her trust in Rory,  as well as her reluctance to hurt him, warring with her obvious curiosity and impatience with withholding information.
After a second,  she stepped closer to Rory,  her big brown eyes looking up at him beseechingly
"I know this is very personal for you, Rory,  and I'd never want to hurt you, but is there anything else you can tell us?  you know we'd never lose faith in you"

Rory shook his head, apparently unaffected by Susan's charms, he clearly didn't want to blurt out what he knew in front of everyone. "Sorry, I don't know anything that could help with this."

Susan looked guilty, afraid she'd just insulted her dear friend.
"I'm so sorry, Rory.  I know you'd tell us anything that would help.   I didn't mean to imply otherwise.   I'm just feeling a little overwhelmed.  I'm sort to have snapped at you."

Rory rubbed the back of his neck and looked somewhat embarrassed by the situation. "I know that it wasn't meant in a bad way. This whole situation is just really messed up."

The young man went on, changing the subject. "Maybe knowing how this was all being done would help us."

Susan nodded, smiling slightly, if unconvincingly, trying to salvage the situation.

Zoey looked at Rory and Susan then shook her head.  "No, there's got to be more to it.  Anything you know Rory, we need to know too,"  she pressed him for more information.

Zoey gasped lightly, "Related how?  And do you really believe he was messing with you?"

"Related ? trace your roots back to Egypt huh ?"  Allura takes a seat.

Rory took another breath. "He asked me whether I was enjoying the present. Then... Then he called me son."

"Your dad is Professor Terrance though, I am pretty sure your not old enough for a Pharaoh to be your dad."

Rory looked down. " Well, dad adopted me when I was young but you're right it does all sound crazy."

"Do you have any ideas on how to get rid of the Pharaoh?  We're all going to need to be careful with the boost to our powers and abilities. Rory, can you get as much information from him as you can?"

Susan tried to focus on the real enemy,  and not fret about the fact that Zoey got Rory to open up, not her.
She said nothing,  just listening

Rory shook his head. "No, if I knew something like that I would have told everyone. I don't even know how to contact him. He just speaks to me when he's in the mood for it but I'll see what I can find out if we do speak."

A stone hammer slowly forms in Susan's hand. Then Zoey finds a watery trident forming from the water she was drinking. Allura burst into flames.

Rory heard in his head
~Wouldn't it be fun to watch the women fight for you ?~

Rory barely seemed to register the events going on in the room.

~ Not really. They clearly aren't liking this and I don't enjoy seeing them suffer for no reason. ~ Rory went on to change the subject. ~ What did you mean when you called me son? ~

~What do you think Son means son ?~ There was almost a dark chuckle.

"Not again, someone put me out !"

Zoey nearly spit the water out in her mouth she had been about to swallow, when the trident appeared and Allura burst into flames.  She pointed the trident at her flaming friend, and a burst of water doused Allura.

~ It's just unexpected. I didn't think that you had been around recently enough for that to even be possible. How do you know that I am definitely your son?~

The whole room filled with steam and Zoey realized it took a lot more water then it should but soon Allura was out.

She looked surprised at Allura, "Are you okay?  What the hell was that?"  Zoey turned and let the trident disappear as she got herself another glass of water, letting the faucet run.

Zoey turned and looked at the mess in her apartment, then sat down beside Sam on the couch.

"Thanks, I think. I am really hating your dads gift Rory, tell him I plan on giving him a gift if I ever meet hime."

Zoey pursed her lips together tight trying not to laugh.  "Um Allura?  You can borrow some clothes if you want.  Bottom drawer of my dresser there are some baggy clothes that might fit you."

Allura nods and heads to change into the offered clothes.

Zoey turned and looked at Sam, checking to see how he was doing and held his hand.

"I agree with Allura, Rory.  That took too much water than it should have, and for her to just burst into flames like that?  Come on, this has to stop."

"Hey! Don't blame me for this!"

"We arent blaming you for anything!  Calm down would you?  We're just saying, you're the only one that can contact him, you get the wonderful job to be the messenger in this situation.  Geeze."

Susan helped Allura get some clothes,  and seemed to be trying to puzzle things out.

Susan shook her head.
"It's nothing, just....well, this fire thing....what's causing it?  I never taught you any fire spells, or indeed anything that powerful.  So why are you having fire magic sprout up?"

"I don't know, maybe the boy who burst into flames at school rubbed off on me or something."

Allura looked at the stone hammer in Susan's hand, "I hope your not planning on hitting me with that."

"Okay. I got it!" Despite his words, the statement didn't seem to calm Rory down very much.

Zoey looked at Rory and shook her head.  "Look, Im sorry you thought we were blaming you.  You know we wouldnt think something like that on a normal day. We're all just a little stressed out."

She looked back to Sam and brushed a strand of hair from his face as he slept.

Rory bit his bottom lip. After a few moments, he nodded. "Yeah. I'm sorry too. It's just that this whole situation isn't easy for me. It's not every day that an inter-dimensional being goes around destroying the town, messes with my head and claims to be my dad."

She gave him a weak smile then stood and walked over,  "Maybe you should ask for a DNA test," then hugged him.  "We've been best friends for a very long time Rory.  You should know by now you can tell me anything or talk to me about anything without being judged.  Know what I mean?  You dont need to hide stuff from me, of all people."

Susan frowned at what Allura was sayjng, looking confused,  then looked at the stone hammer in her hand.  With a gasp she dropped it, having forgotten she'd been holding it.

She blushed with embarrassment.
"Dammit....we've got to DO something about this!"
She didn't seem to be talking to anyone in particular

"We will make it through it can't always be like this. We just need a sarcophagus to shove this Pharaoh into."

Susan smiled tiredly.
"I hope so.  I'm not sure how much more of this I can take"

Rory accepted the hug. "Thanks. Yeah, I know that. You don't need to worry about telling me stuff either." He then seemed to consider what Zoey had said some more. "A DNA test now that could be interesting."

"I don't know if you will be able to get this Pharaoh guy on Springer. I am sure it would be one hell of a show though."

She pulled back and chuckled, "I was joking about that."

Zoey looked back at Sam still sleeping and frowned.  "I hope he's okay.  His 'gift', Im afraid might actually do him more harm than any good."

"As long as he stays away from places with too many people and cemeteries, he should be OK." Rory seemed thoughtful. "Maybe I should give dad a call. He might know something about this that we don't."

"That narrows it down."

Zoey grabbed another glass of water then sat back down near Sam while they waited for Susan and Allura to finish changing.  She sipped her water slowly as she sat there lost in thought, then glanced at Rory at the mention of his dad.  "Did you ever find out what got him so spooked about Allura?  I mean, he doest still think she's dangerous, or that she attacked him does he?"

"Yeah that was a bit weird. My reputation proceeds me." Allura smirked.

As Allura relaxed to listen in she looked even more attractive then usual as if the light was hitting her just right.

"What is our plan by the way?  We've been doing a lot of talking and freaking out, but we havent decided what we're going to do about any of it.  Rory, can you try to talk your dad into letting us back into the private section at the library?  I think Im going to have to go see some other people for a bit, find out what they know."

Zoey looked down at Sam and half smiled, worry though clearly in her eyes.  "Ill take Sleeping Beauty with me."

Sam stirs a bit and sleepily smiles at Zoey.

She leaned down and kissed his lips, smiling back at him.  "You had me worried Sam.  Are you alright?"

"I am feeling a bit better after the nap. I felt really drained like when I heal people."

She ran her fingers through his hair and nodded.  "All our abilities are boosted.  Think you're up to going somewhere with me?  We need to find out some more information, and I can fill you in on what you missed."

Allura looked deep in thought, "Just don't take him past any mummies. We don't wan't to bring this pharaoh back from the dead."

"I'm starting to think that we should all stick together for the time being.  We're in constant danger on our own"

"Hey Rory, your the big brain, and Susan your our magical professional, is there anything about putting the elements together ? I mean Rory pulls thoughts our of the air, so he is air, Sam can heal people so he is life hmmm maybe plants, Zoey is obviously water and Susan your Earth with those big stone statues, and I guess I am the fiery one."

Rory seemed thoughtful. "I have never looked into elemental magic but I am sure that there are books on it at the library. Do you know anything about such things Susan?"

"The elements,  and life force, are very powerful staples of magic.    they're practically the building blocks of the universe,  contrary to Mr. Sulya's chemistry class.  It's why my family magic focused on Earth, instead of things like transformation or illusions.   "

"Im pretty sure I can find out some information from under the sea too.  I'll see if there is any connection with the elements and the Pharaoh, or a way to stop him."

Allura opened one hand and flame danced above her palm then opened her other hand a higher flame rose up.

"I could get used to this." She had a big smile.

She closes her hands and the flames go out.

"Careful, dont burn the place down." Zoey half smiled at her friend.

"So, if you three are going to stick together then Sam and I can cover more ground and meet you someplace later."  She turned to Sam, "That is if you want to go with me.  I mean, you can definitely chill out here if you want too."

"I will go with you Zoey, if anything happens I can heal you."

Susan watched Allura,  her eyes intense as if watching an amazing science experiment.
"I'll cast some divining magic,  to double check the source of that fire.  To make sure it's safe."

Allura looked over, "I certainly wouldn't want to Zoey."

Allura looked to the others, "Wait that is a good point, if I keep bursting into flames I should not go to the library. Hell I am a fire hazard. Maybe I should go with you into the big blue Zoey ?"

Looking at Allura she nodded, "Yeah.  You've been there before so they shouldn't have a problem with you coming back.  Besides, you can fight and it's possible I'll need you."

Zoey turned to Sam then.  "You be careful.  I dont want you getting hurt, or worse.  I cant heal you."

Susan tried to hide how shaken she was about her revelation
