Susan tried to be soothing in her reassurance, though she was distracted about worse case scenarios with the pharaoh.

"Alright, I don't want to blow up or hurt my friends. Let's go do this."

Susan says goodbye to Rory (unless he wanted to tag along, which she'd prefer) and took Allura to a secluded beach or lake in the woods.

Rory watched the scene in confusion but eventually shrugged and went along with the others.

Susan led them to an isolated area in the woods (trying not to say anything about witch stereotypes), and parked.

"Okay, let's get out in the open, and I'll start some magic rituals to see if there's any lingering magic from what's his face"

"Alright it won't hurt will it ?"

Allura stands where Susan directs.

Susan smiled ruefully.
"If it does, then there's something very wrong and I'm glad I did this."

She started casting and weaving her spells, trying to see beyond the veil of the mundane to what was magic.

Susan sees Allura is a very magical being including seeing the stone and earth magic that she taught Allura.

Puzzled, she tried to determine what kind of magical being

"What is it Susan ?" Allura saw the look on Susan's face.

Susan shook her head, slowly.
"I'm not sure....yet"

Allura fixed her hair, "Can we do this later, I kind of want to test out my fire power."

Susan shook her head.
"Your fire powers might be the problem.  I'd like to finish first."

"You have earth powers, Rory has weird big headed genius powers, and Zoey has water powers. I think your being just a bit too nosy. Right Rory ?"

Susan sighed.
"We were all born to our abilities, especially Rory and Zoey.   You were normal before this, at least I thought you were.  So I'm worried that something else is going on.  I'm not saying I don't want you to have powers like us.  I'm really happy for you.  But I want to make sure it's not a gift with strings."

Rory looked like a dear caught in the headlights. Eventually, he raised his hands. " I'm staying out of this one."

Allura looked to Rory, "Coward." she said teasingly his way.

"Strings attached ? How do you check for that ?"

Susan shrugged enigmatically.
"Very carefully. "
Then she looked at Allura and sighed.
"Look, Allura, I'll be honest with you.  Our victory over that book trap felt....too easy.  I mean, it was really tough to figure out and get to, but I can't help feeling that there's something else going on,  and the book was just a distraction.    I'm trying to make sure your new powers aren't what we were being distracted from."

Susan can see the power coming from Allura not from any outside source. Though she can still see Allura as a powerfully magical being.

Susan tries to study and memorize everything about her friend, for later study and research.
"There doesn't seem to he anything affecting you from outside, but I'll do more research."

"So does this mean I get to be part of the super secret gifted people club ?"

Allura was smiling.

Susan chuckled.
"We'll give you a probationary membership, but it's not all it's cracked up to be."

She walked over to give Allura a hug, thought behind her smile was a look of curious concern, and glanced at Rory, as if making sure he was still there

Susan still senses infernal energy but it is not coming from outside of Allura.
