"Ahhh your pendant is not fully active let me fix that." He fiddles with it a bit then states his name and place. It seems that he too is a Knight of Posiedon.

He watches the display play out and his face grows serious. He looks down at a necklace on his own neck. His jaw tightens and his chest rises and falls a bit faster.

"I believe you Zoey, this pendant your pendant. It is the one I now wear around my neck. Van when he is older must have given it to you."

He looks her way, "So I have a grand daughter." He smiled briefly, "Perhaps this book still exists. If it brought you here maybe it can bring you back to your time."

Zoey smiled, "It would appear that I have a grandfather now.  And a family, even if they wont know it for a long time."

She thought about the book a moment, trying to remember the name on the cover or spine.  "If it is around, I have no idea where to start looking for it.  My friend Rory found it in the restricted section of the library at the University.  Im going to take a wild guess and assume it's not likely there now though.  I just hope him and Sam still have it with them in my timeline."

"In a restricted area of a library ? Perhaps that library is around now ? How old is this book ? It seems to be something important to explain what happened and perhaps to get you back home."

Zoey could see Zen's throat tighten a few times seeing what could be the last thing his son says in some future has obviously effected him.

"Im pretty sure the library is still there, but I dont know when the restricted section was put in.  My friend's dad is a professor there, but he's also a Guardian.  A group of fanatic wack jobs that are like really anti everything non human.  They try to protect the world from magic and supernatural stuff like that I guess.  Jeremy's not like the other Guardians though, he's open minded.  Has to be with a son like Rory."

She notices Zen's reactions, "Im sorry.  This cant be easy for you, Im sure.  I wish we had met under better circumstances."

Zen nods, "Yes it is not everyday your child's child comes from the future. With such news. Who is this Rory ?"

"Rory's my best friend.  We've known each other since we were little, like around the time we were both adopted.  He's one of my 'Freaky Friends'." She answered with a smile.

"I have a few friends that are special.  Two witches, a healer, and Rory.  We all kind of compliment each other, and have fought side by side more than once."

"That is quite a gathering. You said your from Maine ? I could get you there but we would need to go to Oceana first. We could then look for this book."

"Yeah, they're great.  Especially Sam."  She blushed a little.

"How do we get to Oceana from here?  I dont actually know what part of the world we're in honestly.  Would it be okay if I checked out the place before we go?  I've never been to Atlantis before, and who know's when I'll get another chance."

Zen nods, "If you promise not to speak of what is going on to Van, you can spend some time with your father. I can take you on a tour of Atlantis."

Her blue eyes welled up again and she smiled, "I would love to spend some time with him.  Thanks.  And dont worry, I wont say anything to him.  I dont want to screw up my future, or anybody else's.  But if he asks, what should I say?"

She looked at the dress, "Where can I put this on?"

Zen points to a nearby room.

"We can say your a cousin visiting from Oceana."

"Cool.  That works."  She went into the room and changed into her grandmother's dress, and couldn't help laugh at that.

Zoey gets a tour of Atlantis and it is a full city. There are universities, hospitals, a sports arena and all the trappings of a modern city. It was somehow better though, more beautiful, the people all looked healthier. Their garments gleaming in the light of the underwater glowing plants.

All around her fish swam from small little exotic fish to the occasional whale carrying passengers. It does seem like their is a symbiotic relationship with the sea and it's creatures. Very different from the way she had witnessed humans acting.

Zen described various things as they toured and Van added his own observations.

Zoey smiled with excitement as they toured Atlantis.  "I almost wish I didn't have to leave soon.  Its beautiful here, so...non human."  She giggled and shook her head, "Its different than what I am used to."

She looked at Van, "So what do you like to do, Van?  I mean for fun."

Van smiles up at Zoey.

"I like to train with dads trident. Some day I am going to be a Knight of Posiedon !" Van says excitedly.

She smiled warmly at her young father, "Im sure you are going to be a great Knight too.  Maybe you can show me some moves later, if it's alright with Zen?"

Zen looked over with some trepidation but nodded.

"Yes Van, I do believe you will become a knight it's in your blood."

Van smiled.

Zoey nods lightly at Zen and looks back to Van, "But you have to promise to take it easy on me.  Okay?"

She looked around again, "I wish Sam could be here with me.  I think he'd be amazed with everything. Zen, when I get back home, would it be okay if I came back here to visit now and then?  Just to say hi and keep in touch."  There was a hint of sadness in her question but she smiled anyway.

Zen looked to her, "Of course, give me your pendant for a moment."

Van nodded to Zoey, "But, your already a knight, maybe I can get some pointers from you."

Zoey handed her pendant to Zen and nodded at Van.  "We can compare notes then.  Maybe we can teach each other something new."

Zen put the pendants together, "I am placing what you might call photographs and video in your pendant. I think it will be good for you to know your family a bit more."

He handed it back after a while.

Van says, "Yeah this will be great !" he bounced with excitement.

"Thank you Zen.  That's really awesome.  Can you show me how to do that sometime?"

She laughed at Van's excitement, it was heart warming to her.  "I cant wait either."

As the three of them continued on, Zoey made small talk with her dad and grandfather.  She made sure to be careful of what she said though.

Zen, "You don't know how ? I can teach you easy enough." He explained things to her and her pendant seemed to be much more then just jewelry.

She shook her head and shrugged.  "Never had anyone to show me how to use it."  She paid close attention to her grandfather's instructions.  "Cool.  Thank you."
