Ok folks you know what this is for.

Zoey paced back and forth, glancing a few times at the new girl calling herself her sister.  A whirlwind of emotions swirled inside her the more she thought about it.

"Look, if you really are my sister that's cool, but at the same time not cool.  Last time I knew, my parents were dead and I was adopted.  So, I hope you can understand my frustration, curiosity, and...Tell me about your parents.  Why would they tell you we're sisters?"

Amanda says, "Oh I was so excited I forgot." She hands Zoey a sealed letter.
"That is from our grandad, he said it might help explain things to you."

In the letter,

Dearest Zoey,

I have had a lot of time to think on the things that you have told me. I truly enjoyed our time together. I know that you were looking at my son, your father with love. He remembers you even years later. Your parents are alive though since I didn't want to change your history I let you grow up as you have always known. This letter is my way to say welcome back to the family. The greatest gift I and your grandmother could give you was our sacrifice so your own parents would live.

Her hands began to shake as she read the letter, tears soaking the paper.  Zoey looked at Amanda unsure what to say.  She opened her mouth to speak a few times but no words came out.

"Wh.. where are they now?"

Amanda said, "Grandpa ? He died before I was born. Dad and mom said he was a hero. Him and grandma stopped a great horror from coming to this world. Oh wait do you mean dad and mom ? They are back home. I know they really want to see you."

She blinked, "Atlantis?  Geeze.  I don't know what to say.  Can you blame me though?  I don't actually know how to feel.  What the hell?". The frustration evident in her voice.

A few more minutes of pacing and biting her lip, Zoey sighed and turned to Amanda.  "I want to see them too. Now."

Amanda hugged Zoey again, "Sorry I just heard so much about you. Your a knight and everything I was pretty mad I didn't get to see you. I even tried running away from home a few times but well I got lost."

"You wanna go to Atlantis now ?"

Zoey choked back more tears and hugged her sister.  "Grampa brought me to Oceania from Atlantis, we can go back the same way.  I think.  It's been a long time for everyone, so yeah now is good.  How did you get here?"

"Our mom showed me how to find you." She touches her trident pendant to Zoey's and the two glow a bit.

"Alright I can get us home. You know how to speak with sea creatures right ?"

Zoey laughed, "Can't everyone? Oh wait, I should call my dad and tell him Im going to be gone for a while.  He'll worry as much as Sam does."

Amanda looked confused, "Your dad ?"

"I was adopted. Remember?  He's been the only parent I've had.  I'll introduce you to him some time.   Ready?"

Amanda nods.

At home, Susan finished her calculus homework as fast as she could, and then got out her spell books.
She concentrated.
"Bubbee Kappy....I need you...."

The ghostly old woman appeared, floating by the walk in closet.
"AGAIN you bother me??  How is an tired, old lady supposed to get my beauty rest?"

Susan frowned in slightly hidden annoyance.
"With all due respect, Bubbee Kappy, you're kinda dead.  I think you've had all the beauty sleep you need."

The translucent old woman scoffed rudely.
"That is what is wrong with you kinder these days.  No sense of humor."

She recognized the Yiddish word for children, and knew she was the subject, but Susan knew conversational quicksand when she heard it, and didn't take the bait to get into another excruciatingly long argument with her great grandmother about "what was wrong with kids these days".

She sighed.
"Annnnyway......"
The buxom brunette lifted her book.
"It seems we might be heading to Atlantis more often, so I was hoping to learn some water spells."

The ghostly grandmother sniffed disdainfully.
"Atlantis??  I don't believe in such mshuge ideas!  It's just fairy tales!"

Then she pondered.
"Though you don't want to learn water spells.  You want to learn more about the earth, so that it can help you underwater."

Susan raised an incredulous eyebrow and fought the urge to roll her eyes.
"It's NOT crazy, Bubbee!  I've SEEN it.   I mean, seriously, I'm a Jewish witch who summons golems after being taught by the ghost of my great grandmother.   I THINK we've expended what the definition of 'possible' is, don't you think?"
She took a breath and shook her head at the stubborn old woman, then looked up at her with skepticism.

"What do you mean 'let the earth provide for me'?"

The pale ghostly apparition smiled smugly.
"If you really want to learn, my proud little girl....then I'll teach you..."

Susan forced a smile.
~ah...it was going to be one of THOSE kind of lessons, where the old woman can't stop showing off.  Got it.~

Suppressing a sigh, Susan got out her notepad and prepared for her lesson

Rory was in the library with Zoey, Susan and Jeremy.

"So you have a sister Zoey?"

Zoey smiled proudly and nodded.  "Yeah, it appears I do.  You guys met Amanda.  It's kinda surreal you know?  And not only do I have a sister, but my parents are alive too.  My grandparents sacrificed themselves, instead of my parents."

"Oh, wow! That's Great Zoey!" Rory would give Zoey one of his rare hugs.

The teen was silent for a moment. "Wait... You didn't mess with the space time continuum did you?"

Zoey returned the hug.  "Thanks Rory. Its awesome."

She shook her head, "I don't think I did.  When I went back in time, I didn't realize it until I met my father as a kid.  After some talking and visiting, Zen and I came here to find your dad,"  she looks to Jeremy and smiled, "and get some help."

"My grandfather knew what would happen to my parents, I told him and showed him with the pendant.  I don't know the full details though, but I still ended up here and adopted by my dad. But I do know that my grandparents took the place of my parents in the ritual, so that they could still live.  Amanda is going to take me to them and Im going to get some answers."

"I remember that visit all those years ago. Hard to believe even with all the things I have dealt with over the years."

"I see..." Rory seemed thoughtful for a few moments. "It makes me wonder. Were these events always part of our reality or did the world re-write itself and everything in it to take the changes into account?"

"Either way, I'm glad that you are getting an extended family." The sentence was said with clear sincerity. He then put on a mischievous grin as he went on."Now you'll have 4 parents telling you to tidy your room; and from what I hear, you'll probably have real competition during the swimming championship too."

"I was wondering the same thing."

She wiped a tear from her eyes and laughed, "Im getting all emotional now.  I honestly have a lot of mixed feelings about it all, but I cant wait to get the answers."

"Amanda is going to be fun to train with.  I'll have some real work to do now, I look forward to the challenge."

Zoey turned to Jeremy "I never got the chance to thank you for helping me way back then.  Thanks Professor, I couldn't appreciate it more."

Jeremy smiles with a shrug, "I knew you would be back, and your welcome Zoey. I would help any of you kids if I am able."

Susan listened intently, trying to process what had happened.  She smiled wryly.
"Seriously, we can't leave you alone for five minutes, Zoey.   I'm sorry none of us could help you out, but I'm glad it worked out okay."

Zoey looked at Susan and smiled, "Well we all knew I was a trouble magnet.   I'm glad you guys are going to get to know Amanda too.

Susan nodded, trying to look happy for her friend.
"Our little family is getting bigger, it seems."

"Im definitely looking forward to the reunion, and getting to know my family more."

"I was wondering about the ritual and spell, why I was sent back in time.  Not that Im complaining, it all worked out in the end, but you know."

In reply to Zoey Krass (msg # 34):

Susan perked up, a mystery to be solved was always something that got her interest.
"I doubt I'd recognize the magic, but can you tell me about it. Perhaps there's something we can learn."

Zoey thought about the spell a moment then shrugged.  "It's Atlantean magic, and when I held the book there was a blue glow, then poof.  Oh, and Amanda's music was playing too.  Whale and dolphin songs mixed with techno."  She giggled.

Susan sighed and smiled ruefully
"I guess it was too much to hope that it would be that easy to study.   Are the whale songs part of the magic, or something different?"

"I think it has something to do with the magic, but Im not entirely sure.  It was something I was going to talk more about with my parents when I see them.  Time travel magic cant be a good thing, especially if it targets Atlanteans."

Susan made a sour face.
"The idea of Time travel makes my teeth itch.  Hopefully they can provide more answers."

"How's that feel?  I cant wait to share with you guys about my trip to Atlantis.  Again."

Susan smirked.
"I don't even want to think about how if feels. Bleh.   But I can't wait to hear more. "

"I kinda really want to learn more about Atlantean magic now.  I mean like, can any of us do it or is it only specific Atlanteans?"

Susan nodded, biting her lip thoughtfully
"It's certainly possible that Atlantean magic is only for your people.  I mean, my own magic is...well, inherited, for lack of a better word.
But it's something to think about"

Allura was sitting in a circle all around her were candles.

Her eyes were close and her arms lifted. As she lifted her arms fire erupted around her and the candles lit. Opening her eyes she looked around noticing how the candles had melted halfway down.

"Have to learn to control this better." Allura lowered her hand and the flames from the candles leapt into the flames around her. The aura of flame dying down.

She got on her phone, "Hi Zoey ?"

Zoey smiled looking at her phone and answered it, "Hey Sparky.  What's up?"

"Well I guess that better then Zippo. Hey Splash, you want to get together with me ? I am trying some things and don't want to burn stuff down by accident. Could you be the fire department for me ?"

"Splash, that's cute.  Yeah sure I'll be your fire extinguisher.  Where do you want to meet up at?  I could take you to the cave, there's plenty of water there too."

"That sounds like a good spot out of sight. Though the fire will eat up air fast your still able to create air bubbles right ?"

"I'll stay close to the water that comes into the cave with the current.  That way I still have water to supply me.  Dont' worry, we'll be safe.  Hey, do you mind if Amanda joins us?  Having two water bugs might be a good idea."

"I still don't even know how you got a sister, you pick her up at Siblings R Us or something ? If you want you can bring her along."

"I can give you a lesson on the birds and the bees later if you want," Zoey laughed.
"We'll meet you at the river and we can head to the cave from there."

"Sure, sure don't you mean the Oysters and the Dolphins ? Maybe you Atlanteans come inside an Oyster like pearls." Allura laughed.

"Meet you at the beach."

Zoey will meet Allura at the river with Amanda, and take them to her underwater cave.
