Zoey giggled, "Egghead means he's really smart.  And he is, Rory's a genius.  And Allura means that you are going to win the science fair, and the rest of us will lose.  It's going to be fun either way."

"We will win ? am I paired up with you this year Rory ?"

Amanda laughs, "That's a funny term egg head for smart people. Why not just call him smart or a genius. Anyway my big sister and I are going to totally drown the competition."

"We don't know who will win. Besides, for all we know, I will get abducted by aliens half way through the project, that would take me right out of the running."

Rory nodded. "Yeah, we're teammates, I hope that you're up to the challenge." He added the last part as a joke.

Rory seemed thoughtful. "Maybe we could try our hands at robotics. I quite like the idea of making a robot butler. What do you think?"

"You can count on me, I will do the heavy lifting, you do the heavy thinking."

Amanda looked at Zoey, "Is she super strong too ?" She whispers but a bit loud.

Rory laughed. "Sounds like a perfect partnership."

He turned to Susan. "Who are you teamed up with this year?"

In reply to Rory Terrance (msg # 16):

Susan's smile faded and she winced.
"I..um...hadn't asked anyone.  I guess I forgot we needed partners."

In reply to Amanda (msg # 15):

"Shh."  Zoey glanced around quickly to make sure nobody overheard Amanda.  She lowered her voice a little, "Only this group of friends knows about each other.  You cant let people know about you. Not up here."

"Ahhh she's alright Zoey. Everyone in school knows I am tough." She smirks a bit.

"Though that is good advice she just gave you."

Allura then looked to Sam, "SO, you and Susan will be partners right ?"

Amanda gulps as she looks at her big sis, "Sorry."

Sam blinks and looks to Zoey.

Zoey chuckled and gave her sister a half hug, "It's alright kiddo.  We'll show you the ropes up here, keep you safe.  Oh, you should meet our friend Hal, he's pretty cool too."

She looked at Sam and smiled, "It could be a good match up, but its up to you. Or, we could do a 3 on 3 group project.  Me, Sam, and Mandi against the three of you?"

Amanda smiles, "Yeah ! they have a hunk on their team, we need a hunk on our team Sam !"

Rory seemed happy with the team suggestions. "That sounds great. Just for the record, I'm not responsible if Mr Butler turns evil and tries taking over the world."

"Hmmm an evil butler, I think I can get behind that." She smirks.

Zoey smiled, "Great! I cant wait to see what we all come up with.  Sam, can you come over for a brainstorming session?  I'll make dinner."

"I thought he was evil already.  I mean really, who gives homework on vacations?"

Sam rubs his chin, "Sure I could get involved just have to balance it with football."

"We can work on the project after your practice.  That way when you come over I'll have dinner ready for all of us and we can get to work."

She turned to the others, "Lets do the movie and dinner night this weekend, all of us together.  It'll be a nice way to end the week after working on the science fair."

Susan looked at Sam,  smiling to hide her nervousness.
"No problem.   Any partner is a good partner. "

"I don't mind working with anyone, if I want an A+ I would probably go with Rory. Zoey we have to see if they will let us team up. I remember last year they didn't let known couples be on the same team.  That might extend to sisters too but I am not sure."

"So let's see what they are allowing then make plans during movie night ?"

Sm nodded to Susan, "Don't worry you wont be out of the loop."

In reply to Sam Clay (msg # 30):

Susan'ssmile froze at Sams words, and she fought to stay civil and hide her annoyance.
"Well, let me know how it sorts out.  Excuse me,  I need to check on something "
She turned and walked to the library

Zoey looked a little bummed at Sam's words but nodded.  "I guess I can check the office for the rules and let everyone know.  We can pick our partners at movie night, and decide what we want to do then. How does that sound to everyone?"

Rory shrugged. "Sure. I should probably go and make sure that Susan is OK. See you later."

With that said, Rory headed out in the same direction as Susan.
