Zoey had a stack of books on the desk in front of her, and her phone in her hand playing a science video. "I have no idea what I am going to do for this science fair.  I need some good ideas this year. These videos are like for little kids, I swear."

She put her phone on the table and started flipping through the books again.  "Maybe my parents have an idea."

"I still think you should do something dealing with the oceans. Your parents probably would be a big help and I think they would like any time that they get to spend with you."

She smiled at Sam, "I'd like to spend some more time with them too, I should invite 'em over for dinner.  There's so much about the ocean I could do, its just hard trying to figure out which idea to go with.  I want it to be a good project, but I don't want it to be too good. Does that make sense?"  She laughed.

Looking at her friends, "You should meet my parents too, guys."

Rory seemed slightly disconcerted.

He seemed to empathise with Zoey as she spoke about her parents. "Sure, it would be nice."

Zoey seemed to glow at Rory's answer, "Thanks Rory, that means a lot to me.  So, what do you guys think of Amanda?"

Sam chuckles, "She has all your enthusiasm, Zoey.  Like a smaller you with more energy then a chihuahua. I kind of like her."

Zoey laughed, "I've got a Mini Me.  I've got to teach her a few things about being here, like carrying water on her more."

"Any of you have ideas for the science fair, like whats everyone going to do?"

"Who are we going to pair up with too."

"I think I would like to do something on foot ball or music, maybe one of those social projects."

Rory nodded. " Amanda seems friendly and earnest. I think that you were lucky with her."

He frowned at the mention of the science fair. "I can't believe that they banished Mr Butler. I have other ideas of course but none of them will be quite as fun... Definitely something science related. I could go breed mutant algae that feed on petrol, plastic and other pollutants dropped in the sea, or a mechanical photosynthesis machine that would convert Co2 to oxygen and carbon, or I could attempt to finally break and disprove the second law of thermodynamics by converting heat into a viable source of clean energy, or I could... "

Rory paused, possibly realising that he was rambling on. "Well, there are a lot of potential projects but I was looking forward to having a butler robot."

Zoey looked confused, "What do you mean they banished Mr. Butler?  Did I fall asleep in class again?"

She smiled at her best friend, "Those are all really cool ideas Rory.  No matter what you pick though, its going to blow the competition away. Hm, could I steal that algae idea?"

"I was going to build a butler robot with Allura for our project but it doesn't really have anything to do with the environment." Rory shrugged. "Sure, I don't have a problem with that."

"Make it an environmental robot instead of a butler one. Not sure if I'll actually use it, but its an idea anyway and better than what I've come up with so far."

Zoey turned to Susan, "If you haven't partnered up with anyone yet, how about the two of us do something together?"

Susan, lost in one of her books, blinked in surprise at Zoey's question,  but then smiled.
"Sure,  that's sounds good.  I was thinking about doing something 'oceanic' as well.  Perhaps with algae farming"

"Cool.  We can do that idea Rory gave me, pollution eating algae.  We can talk to my folks too, see what they think.  When do you want to get together?"

Susan smiled, looking a little tired.
"I'm free whenever.   Tonight works"

"I'll let Pops know you're coming over tonight to do homework."  Zoey smiled and looked relieved.

"So who are you partnering up with Sam?"

"I don't know maybe Rory for the A." Sam chuckles.

"You and Allura working with Rory, that's a good group.  I hope Amanda finds someone decent to work with. I worry about her up here."

"I was just kidding, Allura would punch me then I would need to heal myself. I could pare up with Amanda."

"You don't mind?  Thanks Sam, that's really great.  Hey, looks like the groups are picked.  "Study group" Friday night then?  I'll make dinner."

"Sounds good to me, What do you say ?" He looks to Rory and Susan.

"I'll have to check with Allura but it works for me."

Susan gave a wry smile
"Sounds good. "
