Zoey lets out a long sigh and sits down.  "Look, I get it.  Really. But maybe you can tell us that next time without the dirty looks and attitude?"

Susan sighed and rolled her eyes.
"If I thought you'd listen without them, I certainly would.
I'm sorry to get so worked up.  But I don't want to lose you guys."

Impulsively, she hugged Zoey.

Zoey laughed and returned the hug.  "You wouldn't be you otherwise. You're stuck with us Susan, so dont worry about losing us."

"Okay. We've got a runaway algae creature out there somewhere, and we need to find it before someone else does.  Ideas on where to look first?"

"If I were Algae, I would look for a water source where I could kick back and swim around."

She nodded, "Right, but how far could it have gotten by now? I think we should split up to cover more ground maybe. There's so many places it could hide if you think about it."

"I still think it is pretty wild you guys made Algae that can run around. You need help ?"

Happy that her friends had forgiven her outburst, Susan nodded.
"Was is fresh water or salt water algae?   That might make a difference."

Rory didn't seem convinced. "I don't know. I know that it's not a big bad monster that we're talking about but air pollution alone kills hundreds of thousands of people a year, possibly more. There are even reports that sulfur oxyde released from the oceans could wipe out all intelligent life on the planet. Letting people die when you could save them doesn't seem right. I mean, it isn't really their fault, they just don't know what they are doing."

He looked down and shook his head. "Maybe you're right. The school fair isn't the right place to work on that, it would only interfere with implementing the solutions that are needed. Maybe we should deal with the problem without letting anyone know. "

Susan looked sympathetic,  but shrugged.
"I'm sure that for we all revealed all our capabilities to the world, it would make a great and profound impact,  but it's the fallout I'm worried about.  "

Rory looked away. "You're probably right about keeping what we can do hidden. It doesn't mean that we can't help in other ways."

Susan smiled at Rory sheepishly.
"Considering all the crazy shenanigans we've been up to in the last year, Rory, I'd think it's obvious that I'm NOT opposed to helping people.  But there's a reason the superheroes in the cartoon shows wear masks and whatnot.   If my parents knew what I could do....."
She shuddered

Zoey considered what Susan was saying, then grinned. "If we're going to keep helping people, then we should totally get our own masks.  Im a Knight, so saving and helping is kind of what I do anyway, but you're absolutely right about keeping our identities safe."

"Isn't what you can do kind of generational?  Its a family thing, so shouldn't they know anyway?"

Susan smirked at the idea of masks, and the audience could see as she pictured, in her mind's eye, Susan Eisenberg in a dark brown, tight, latex costume, complete with dark mask and plenty of cleavage.
Then Susan pictured her mother walking into her room as she was modeling the outfit, and the brunette shuddered in horror.
Shaking off the thought, she smiled wryly at Zoey.
~Speaking of my mother.....~
Out loud, she spoke with cynical amusement.
"Bubbee Kappy made it very clear that she'd skipped my mother.  Mom is smart when she wants to be, but she's desperate to fit in, and not do anything odd, old fashioned, or contraversial.  And she's sort of surrendered all her identity and life choices to my father.  Bubbee didn't consider her 'worthy'."
Susan shrugged, feeling sorry for her mother, but not seeming overly bothered by the slight by her deceased grandmother.
"So, she never even told Mom about the family magic when she was alive, let alone now that she's a ghost."

"Oh, well. I still like the masks idea," she said smiling.

Susan smiled ruefully.
"That has...possibilities, but masks can freak people out, too.  It's a tough balancing act.  We can research options, certainly."

"Cool."

Looking at everyone, "So, now we go find our glowing algae pet. This should be fun."

"I'm all for masks as long as I get a cape to go with it, maybe a dark red one."

He then nodded at Zoey's suggestion. "Lets go."

Susan gets out her SUV keys and headed towards the door.
"Shall we divide up individually, or team up?"

Allura looks at Rory, "Nah, your more the green pajama man type."

Allura smirked, "Susan I will go with you, we could split up and look for this thing but big question what do we do with it when we get it ?"

"Hm. We made it with salt water, so I am going to say its a marine creature now.  Before it was just plain seawater algae, but now that its 'alive', Amanda and I might be able to communicate with it once we find it.  If you guys find it before us, call me and we'll meet up with you.  We'll do the same if we find it."

Zoey turns to Amanda, "Ready?"

"You kidding ? I was born ready !"

End Scene

Rory raised an eyebrow at Allura. "Sure and your disguise could be a ballerina's outfit. No one would suspect it."

Rory turned to Zoey, going back to the conversation on hand. "If you are the only ones who can speak with the creature, you two should probably split up so we would have twice the chance of being able to speak with it."

Zoey blinked then nodded. "Yeah that does make sense doesn't it. I'll go with you Rory and Amanda can ride with Susan and Allura, if that works?"

"A ballerina outfit really ?"
