The Beach

Leads: Rory, Zoey and Susan

The group walks along the beach talking among themselves.

Zoey walked along tossing rocks in the water, laughing each time Otto would scurry off to retrieve one and bring it back to her.

"So Rory, you're the genius here, want to try and figure out some math for me?"  She smiled looking at her friend. "Figure the algae is pretty small and would probably be slithering along like a slug or snake or something like that.  At that speed, and the time between it disappeared and now, about how far do you think it could have gotten?  If we come up with that, maybe we could come up with an area of where it could be now.  I mean, looking around here Im not seeing any glowing algae anywhere."

Zoey glanced up towards the sky, "I can ask the seagulls to keep an eye out for it too."

In reply to Zoey Krass (msg # 2):

Susan frowned at Zoeys words, and though she tried to hide it, she was a bit annoyed by being regulated to."one of the non geniuses".  She didn't,  of course,  argue.
"Can we  estimate when it escaped?  And perhaps we should check the town between here and the house first?  I mean, if the algea made it to the ocean,  wouldn't it be wayout to sea at this point?"

"I got home after trying to visit Sam at the hospital, and Amanda was asleep on the couch with the algae in the tank.  I went downstairs to talk to Pops for a little while, and maybe 10 minutes went by when Amanda screamed.  That's when we noticed the algae was gone."

She looked towards the ocean, "I think if it was here, I might be able to sense it or something.  Maybe.  But looking in town makes sense too."

Susan nodded, biting her lip in thought.
"Can Amanda sense this thing, too?"

Zoey shrugged.  "She should be able to if I can.  Im just not sure if it's possible for either of us though.  I hope her and Allura are having some luck. Or at least staying out of trouble."

In reply to Zoey Krass (msg # 6):

At her friendslast couple of words, Susan winced a little,  betraying her opinion of how easily the impulsive Atlantean and the fiery redhead will stay out of trouble.  Despite her desire to avoid Amanda,  she regretted not going with the pair

Picking back up

Zoey's cellphone rings

Zoey answers her phone, "Hey. What's up?"

Amanda's voice comes over the phone she seems highly upset and it is hard to make out what she is saying. Half is in English half is Atlantean.

"Whoa, Amanda, calm down." Zoey speaks in Atlantean for Amanda, "What is going on?"

She looks worried.

Amanda is breathing hard and tries to slow down.

"Allura and me, we found the algae man, but it did something there were loud sounds and weird flashes of light like lightning and she fell. She is bleeding and wont respond. Help Sis Please !"

Zoey listened and almost dropped her phone realizing what Amanda had said. In English, "Oh my god. Allura's been shot!"

Atlantean, "Amanda, hang up the phone and dial '911'. You need an ambulance, give them your location. We're on our way. Stay with her no matter what, and put pressure on the wounds.  Dont let her close her eyes, keep her awake."

Zoey started running towards Susan's car.

"Ahhh alright. I will. I will !" Amanda hung up.
