Arkham Memorial Hospital

All Leads.

Allura lies unconscious in a hospital bed the others gathered around her.

Zoey stood beside Allura's bed and held her hand. She had heard somewhere some time ago that people could still hear you when they were in comas.  Maybe she could feel them there with her.

"Who did this?" She wiped away tears and sighed deeply. "Rory, can you look?"

Amanda comes into the room a police officer slipping a tablet away outside the room.

Amanda's head is lowered as she shuffles uo beside her sister.

Zoey stood and wrapped her arms around Amanda.  "Are you okay? What did you tell the police?"

"I didn't know what to tell them. I told them I heard the shots but dont really know what happened. I dont know how the Algae could have done it. He is so small."

"No, it was someone with a gun. Not the algae. Somebody shot her, but why? We have to find whoever did this."

"He was such a little guy. I was scared Sis, I am sorry. I should have been able to save her like you would have." Amanda shakes her head.

Zoey looked at Amanda, "You got her help and stayed with her. You did exactly what you should have done in that situation.  Dont beat yourself up."

She turned to her friends quickly then, "Sam! Oh my god you guys, why didn't we think of that? He could help Allura. I hope."

She takes out her phone and dials Sam's number.

"Isn't he in this hospital too ?"

"Uh..yeah.  Damn, you're right."

Zoey slumped back into the chair beside Allura, "He should know though, they've been friends longer than him and I have been together."

Susan slipped quietly into the room.   She smiled with embarrassment at everyone.
 "Sorry I'm late.   I had to tell my mother that we were all studying together before I left the house.  If she knew I was at the hospital a second time in one week,  she'd probably freak out and assume there's an ebola epidemic or something. "
She looked

Zoey looked up when Susan came in, hung up her phone and wiped her tears away again.  "Her dad should be here soon if he isn't already."

She stood and looked at Rory and Susan, "Mr. Danvers doesn't exactly like me very much, so I dont think I should be here when he comes in.  The algae and whoever did this is still out there, and we need to find them."

To Rory, "Can you look in her mind while she's like this?  If you can find out that way who did it, then we can find them and lead the cops to them, after we get the algae of course."

"Susan, do you think you could maybe reach out to some of the ghosts and spirits that you've helped in the past?  I dont know, maybe they could help us search for them.  Im just grasping at straws here, we need to do something.  I cant just sit here and do nothing while one friend is sick in the hospital, and another one is..."

Zoey looked at Allura then and nearly choked on her words. "I just cant stay here. If either of you have any better ideas, Im all ears."

"My gift doesn't always work with Allura and I have never tested it on someone in a coma but I can try."

Rory tried using his powers to see Allura's attacker through her eyes.

Ooc: I am not sure whether Rory can do that but I'll spends a plot point to try.

There is a rushing video from Rory to Allura but even as he tries he feels no connection.

They all hear a long beep type sound and Zoey notices the heart monitor has gone flatline. Although Rory feels he didn't make the connection he is somehow sure Allura noticed.

Slowly the heart monitor shows activity again.

Zoey gasped, "She flat lined!"  She began to panic but calmed a little when Allura's heart started again.

She looked to Rory, "Well? Did you see anything?"

Susan was blinking back tears as well, inspired by Zoey, but tried to be brave.
"I can go to where it happened.  perhaps I can pick up something.    Why doesn't Mr. Danvers like you? "
She also gasped when the machine showed a flatline,  and moved out if the way for any nurses rushing in.

Zoey blinked a couple times looking at Susan, caught off guard by the question. "I always seem to be right there when trouble is happening, like when Cindy used me and Sam to help break her out of the asylum for example. He'd probably blame me for this too."

Susan gave a rueful smile.
"He'd get along with my parents very well, I suspect.  And he's not entirely wrong.  We ARE trouble, even if there'd be worse trouble without us."

Zoey gave a small smile, "We're only trouble to the trouble."

She glanced between the door and Allura then back to the others. "I really think Amanda and I should go look for the algae, and maybe get some help too. I'll stay until her dad gets here though."

Susan shrugged, feeling indecisive.
"I can stay here for that, if  you'd like.  You've be a lot more useful than I am for finding Algae Boy."

"Thanks. If Allura wakes up call me. We'll be as fast as we can, and careful too."

Susan smiled.
"Good luck "

Zoey nodded, "We'll need it."

"Come on sis, lets go."

The Camera zooms out to the docks where the little algae man is sitting swinging it's little legs over the side of the pier. He glows lightly blue and his little shoulders are slumped. He cries out over the waters and distantly a much larger cry is heard back.
