"Call him and find out," Zoey suggested as the phone rang in her ear.

"I don't have my phone probably still at the hospital."

She nodded, "You can use mine when Im done."

"What's up Zoey ?"

"Hey dad. Uh, I was just checking to see if everything was alright with you? There's not been anybody weird hanging around has there?"

"Hmm no, can't say anything out of the ordinary why ?"

"Listen, um, if somebody dressed as a cowboy comes knocking on the door, dont answer it.  Call me immediately and get out of the house safely. This guy is crazy Pops and I dont want you to get hurt. I'll explain later, okay?"

"Wait, I did have a cowboy looking person here. They looked at the antiques but didn't buy anything."

"What?! How long ago? Where did he go? Are you okay?"

The look on her face could easily match the tone of worry in her voice.

"It was earlier today hours ago"

"Hours ago? Dad, he shot Allura earlier this evening. He almost killed her."

Zoey looks at her friends, "He's been looking for you, or us, all day."

"If he comes back Pops, dont do anything except for calling me. I have to go now, I'll see you later."

"What shot your friend ? What's going on ?"

Zoey hangs up on her confused dad.

Zoey handed her phone to Allura. "Can you detect magic items and such? Pops said our cowboy was looking at some of the antiques at our place earlier. I dont know why he would go there if there wasn't anything special there. He's not the first strange visitor we've had at the shop recently."

Hearing that her fears were confirmed, Susan tried to finish up her detection spell quickly.

Allura calls her father.

She is talking in the background.


Susan does sense the metal is magical but not like it has been enchanted. It seems to be naturally that way.

While the others were doing their magic detection, "Amanda can you look through the eyes of a seagull and help me look for the cowboy? I figure if both us can do that we can find him quicker, cover more ground."

"Cowboy is at the Asylum !"

"Lets go! Is your dad okay?"

Startled,  but ashamed to be happy that the cowboy wasn't bothering her parents, Susan ran to her suv to drive them

Zoey followed quickly behind Susan, jumping in the front seat. "Shot gun!"
