The day of madness as the media is calling it seems to have passed.
Scenes of the riots and flooding being cleaned up and dealt with are shown on TV.
The death and injury toll is still unknown as clean up and rescue is still taking place.
One of our viewers even caught this sight of a meteor moments before the heavy rains stopped.

A streaking fire sped towards the ground from the clouds that Susan knew to be Allura.

The camera spun to show Rory, Susan, and Zoey sitting on a very well appointed leather couch in Susan's home.

Zoey's eyes were wide and red from crying as she watched the news with her friends. She leaned forward and hid her face in her hands.

"What did I do? This is all my fault," Zoey muttered, her words muffled slightly by her hands. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked up again. "I hurt so many people. What do I do?"

Susan wasn't sure what to do.  She wasn't really good at "comfort".  She put an arm around Zoey's shoulder and gave a friendly squeeze.
"So, tell me again, what exactly happened?"

“I saw the fires and just summoned a small rain storm to help put it out.  Rory and I were checking out a new device he had, then we went to Atlantis.”

Susan smiled sheepishly
"Well, I'd be the last person who should be criticizing you for losing control of your abilities. "

“Anybody ever die before because of your powers?  How many people died because of the flooding I caused?” She started crying again.

Susan wasn't sure what to say, so she just held her friend tight

Zoey suddenly sat up and wiped her eyes. "Rory, I need you to get me into the library. I have an idea."

Rory seemed slightly suspicious. "What do you have in mind?"

“Are you sure you want to know?  I need a spell to send me back to before we went to Atlantis. That way I can stop the floods from happening.  Then nobody will die.”

Susan blinked in surprise.
"What?? You have a time travel spell in the library?   I mean, that's a noble idea, but it might make things worse.  Are  you sure it's safe?"

Zoey shrugged. "There are several Atlantean books in the library and I know at least one of them has a time travel spell. It sent me to Atlantis when my parents were still kids."

She lowered her eyes to the floor and bit her lip. "I have to do something to try and fix this. People died because of me. If I can go back to when Rory and I left for Atlantis this time, then I can stop the storm before it gets out of hand."

Susan shrugged, clearly conflicted.
"Perhaps we should try to study the situation more, to see exactly what happened.  What if, for example, the storm actually minimized the damage and craziness?"

Zoey looked at Susan confused. "I dont see how not stopping the storm would be good? Even Allura got hurt, didnt she?"

She shook her head, "No. I have to go back and fix this."

Susan winced and followed.
"Perhaps,  but everyone was going crazy before it happened,  so perhaps they would have caused more damage if the rain. hadn't stopped them?"

Allura is one of the missing and yes people were going crazy before the storm. Remember these are the episode wrap up scenes.

"Maybe you're right. But still, people wouldn't be dead because of me if I can fix it. We can deal with the aftermath of everything else when I get back."

"I cant go on each day knowing I destroyed so many lives, seeing the faces of families left behind because I killed their loved ones. Wouldn't you want to change that if you could?"

Zoey turned to Rory, "Im going either way. You guys can help me, or not."

Not wanting to fight her friend, Susan reluctantly nodded and followed.

Rory tried to catch up to Zoey. "I'm not sure that it works like that. When you visited your parents in the past you didn't change the present. I'm not sure that we can change the past... And, Susan is right, if changing the past is possible. We could make things worse, we could cause the tensions between Atlantis and the humans to rise, we could cause a war, millions could die. "

Rory paused for a moment to let what he said sink in. "Besides, I'm not sure that you were responsible for the storm. I think that something else is going on. In fact, it's possible that us going to the past prevented the war in the first place. I'm just trying to say that we should be really careful about this." 

Grabbing the conversational life preserver that Rory threw,  Susan nodded
"That's my point, Zoey.  If we're going back in time, then, in theory, there's no reason we need to rush off to do it.    Let's investigate more, so we're better prepared for what we find "

As they head outside a stone golem walks up and shakes its head shrugging and lifting its arms hands palms up.

Susan nodded and winced.
"And my golem found no trace of Allura.   We need to find her first."

Zoey stopped and looked at her friends and let out a deep sigh. "That's not entirely true actually. Um, when I went back to Atlantis when my parents were kids, that did change the present. My parents were dead before I went there and met them. When I got back though, when Amanda showed up, that's when I found out what happened. Instead of my parents dying when I was a baby, my grandfather brought me to Arkham. He took their place because he knew they were going to die. He changed things."

She turned when the golem showed up and nodded. "Lets find Allura first."

Following the golem they come to a furrow and burned impact in the ground. No sight of Allura though. There are some foot prints in the mud around the area though showing others had been here.

Zoey follows the footprints in hopes they will lead them to Allura.

"I'll ask the gulls if they saw anything."

The foot prints seem to come to this area mull about and then head back to areas of the city where it is harder to track because of cements and streets.

Zoey frowned, shook her head and let out a deep sigh. "There's got to be a clue around here somewhere. Im going to think the worst here and say, I think someone got to her before we did," she said looking at the footprints that disappear into the city.

"The seagulls were seeking shelter from the storm and didn't see anything. I dont know what else we can do here."

Susan frowned, torn up with worry
"I can try some seeking magic"

Zoey nodded, “Good idea. I hope it works.”

Susan sighed
"Me too.  I'll never forgive myself if something happened to her"

As Susan reaches out she finds herself stopped by faith.

“You okay, Susan?”

Strong religious faith of some kind blocked Susans magic.

Susan scowled
"I'm being blocked by some kind of religious mumbo jumbo "

“Like, from your religion? Can you pick anything up Rory?”

Zoey looked at her friends, “Maybe we should talk to Malcolm and get his help or offer ours.”

Susan snorted a smirk.
"MY religion??  Heck, I'm practically an atheist at this point.  No, it's someone else.   I can try to make contact, perhaps."

Zoey chuckled . “Alright, your family religion then.”

She watched Susan do her thing

Ok that was enough of a reveal I am closing this scene and episode.

Rory and Bruce were sitting around a coffee table in Bruce’s mansion. On the table, there were several photos of the episode’s machine, and a report titled ‘Machine X – Preliminary Investigation’.

Bruce had a photocopy of the note in his hands. He put it on the table before speaking. "No, I am not the one who sent this to you."

Rory frowned and seemed thoughtfull. " What worries me is that no one with this kind of technology should know that we are working together. I suppose that someone in your company may have seen the dispatch history to my address, or maybe Chrysalis Corporation have been keeping track of my activities but I thought that they had gone inactive."

When Bruce spoke next, he seemed to have his 'investigator' hat on. "Or it could be someone else entirely. Either way, we should look into this. There is no telling what their motive may be."
