First:

You always Roll a Value + a Relationship
You can add a 3rd die for free from a Distinction or Ability if it fits.

To add more dice you need to spend a PP, you can add other Values or Relationships if they fit.

You may also at any time if it fits add a Location or Extra these count as an Aid to help your roll. You may only call on a Resource 2x per episode.
It does not require a PP to add an Extra or Location that is available or can be brought into a contest believably.

If I understand correctly, when rolling to increase a trait, we add all growth and stress?

We then add the value if we wish to increase a value, the associated character to increase a relationship and heritage to increase a power?

You roll your growth pool to increase things.

This is the things you have challenged.

Your highest stress you still have is also added as a Growth die.
All healed stress is a Growth die.

This is for raising extras, locations, relationships, and Distinctions as well as Gear and Non Heritage Connected Abilities.


When raising Heritage connected abilities you can add in your heritage die.
