MONK UNARMED STRIKE (alternate class feature)
A monk's unarmed strike does not increase in damage after 1st level. Instead, their unarmed strikes gain an enhancement bonus as if they were wearing an amulet of mighty fist. This enhancement bonus is equal to 1/4th their monk level (rounded down). Every time a monk increases their enhancement bonus, they may choose to trade any amount of it for weapon special abilities of equivalent bonus, but once this is done, it cannot be changed. They choose these special weapon abilities from the following list: agile, anarchic*, axiomatic*, breaking, brilliant energy, defending, disruption, flaming, flaming burst, frost, furyborn, ghost touch, grounding, heartseeker, holy*, icy burst, igniting, impact, invigorating, keen, ki focus, ki intensifying, lifesurge, menacing, merciful, mimetic, negating, phase locking, repositioning, shock, shocking burst, speed, stalking, thawing, thundering, unholy*, vorpal and wounding. These bonuses stack with existing enhancements to a maximum of +5. A monk may suppress or resume this ability as a free action.
*The monk must meet the appropriate alignment to choose these enhancements.
