Good friends we had; good friends we lost
"No woman, no cry" whispers a Kislevite man holding his wife who weeps over a grave with a wolf's head upon it. A warrior's tombstone.

"Petyr! Me Petyr died for this Empire. Why? Why they make him fight" cries the woman piteously. The man is stone faced and grimaces. He does not look particularly happy.

As you march toward the sewer watch's station that Glindly has taken over you see signs that this place is still effected by the war. A street preacher with a sign around his neck ordering you to repent loudly talks to anyone who listens about how this world is paying for its sins. A man loudly proclaims Sigmar is to blame for this and that heathen gods luring away worshipers of Ulric is what caused the Chaos Gods to attack. The smell begins to creep up as your approach the station. So much sewage has been tracked on the way to the station that it has infused the area around it. The place is made less desirable by Morrpsark, the central cemetery of Middenheim, looming in the near distance.

In front of the station an entire squad prepares themselves. Five men, two halflings, and a dwarf. The dwarf goes on about how they're all going to die. The humans chat among themselves, studiously ignoring him, and the halflings merely shake their heads.

"Well at least they are preparing to go to war but that dwarf does not help matters" Aria say not so quietly that the dwarf wouldn't be able to hear

Taking in the sights sounds and even smells of the city once again, a far cry from the relatively peaceful and fresh smelling woods, when one is not being hounded by beastmen in an ancient chaos crypt of course, Camella is the first to approach the others and speak up, to her own kind in their own tongue of course. (In Halfling)"Hello there, have you seen Glindly lately?"

Heinri walked up with the others, and overheard the smattering of talk between the men, dwarf and halflings. He waited until Gunnar had asked his question and followed it up with one of his own. "And where are you all off to?"

"Glindly is inside!" responds one man.

"We are off to patrol for beastmen. There's been rumors that a large number of rat-like ones were spotted under the Temple quarter responds another

Camella nods to the two gentlemen she was conversing with as she too heads inside following Gunnar with a happy smile on her lips.

Re: Good friends we had; good friends we lost
You go inside and find a halfling much different than the Glindly you met before. His hair has begun to gray and his posture has sunk. You are amazed at how he has aged in the many months since you saw him.

"Send the new ones into the brown mound. The most recent Ska... errr... beastmen incursions have been around the hell pit. Best leave that work to the veterans" orders Glindly to a sergeant who salutes and runs off. He then sees you all come in.

"My friends! As I live and breath!" he grins, taking you all in, "Camella... gin'lee grouuf gor..." he continues in Halfling

He then realizes that there may be something more to this visit, "I take it that this is not a social call?" he asks suddenly.

Camella smiles and shakes her head playfully at his flattery before getting to buisness. "Ever the flatterer, but no sadly, seems the rats have put warpstone into one or more of the city's wells, which won't be very good for our tall and bearded friends if we don't stop them from drinking the poisoned water and come up with a way to purify it."

"That was you?" states Glindly in shock, "And that was them I see. So the rats are behind this... great" he sighs, "I'm guessing you need help? Navigators, fighters, and other such things. Where are you all going?"
