Pulling down the piss soaked mask over his lower face the gore covered apparition that Gunnar had become accepted the leads of the small but vicious dogs with a smile.

"Helluva scrap that. Hate to see the vermin slip away after that."

Re: The Dwarven College of Engineering
Removing her panty mask, Camella pockets her under garments before removing the dagger from Aria's back and tending to her wound, being careful with the almost certainly poisoned blade. Once the bleeding is stopped, the barber-surgeon investigates the blade for signs of poison and perhaps a clue as to the specific poison used which might help Aria. "As do I Glindly, as do I." Camella replies to their guide and fellow Halfling's sincerity, only able to give him a fraction of her attention as she stuff's the elf's wound with fresh bandages hoping the cloth would absorb some of the poison as she set about finding a proper cure.

How bad off is Aria wounds wise? Heavily wounded or Lightly wounded? If the former, she recovers 2 wounds, if the latter I'll need to roll to see.
12:27, Today: Camella Catkins rolled 38 using 1d100. Heal 65.

I assume it's a perception check to test the poison, correct? If so I barely pass.
12:34, Today: Camella Catkins rolled 50 using 1d100. Perception 55.

OOC: You'll need to roll. She's lightly wounded.

That said, Trade (Apothecary), which is Intelligence.

Also, Willpower test to avoid gaining an Insanity Point after witnessing this level of madness.

By the way, Aria, thanks to Camella's ministration, feel free to come to consciousness whenever you, the player, is back.

"That is, interesting." Camella comments to herself when she discovers what kind of poison is on the blade.

OOC: ok then, Aria recovers 4 wounds.
19:05, Today: Camella Catkins rolled 4 using 1d10. Wounds.

Also do I know of a cure or is she past the worst of it?

Heinricus huffs and puffs with the exhortation of carrying the elf out of the mist. He heaved, trying to get clean air into his lungs, and expelling anything that might have slipped in as he ran. He coughed, and spit, finally getting things together, and checking his wounds, worrying if any of the poison go into his blood stream. "How is she?" he asked, "Can you help her? Will she live?" he asked as he got off his hands and on to his knees. "Is anyone checking their lair? What were they doing?"

"Nothing so far" calls Glindly, "The dogs will tell us if anything approaches" he adds. Looking down at the animals, you see that one is busy licking itself and the other two are looking around alert as though they have a total lack of anything interesting to do.

"Won't know for certain until she wakes up, and on that note." Camella said abruptly cutting herself off mid sentence as she remembered the smelling salts from her kit. Grabbing the bottle and popping it's cork, Camella waved it beneath Aria's nose hoping it hadn't lost any of it's potency since last she used it, or because of the pungent stench that surrounded them. "As for helping her and her chances, I've done all I can but if she was going to die she would have done so by now. I'm actually quite impressed, she's a pretty tough girl, especially for an elf, surviving a full dose of Manticore Dung from a Rat's blade like she did, not many could have done that." Camella said stooping beside her patient.

Re: The Dwarven College of Engineering
Aria wakes up and whole group of you sit in silence for almost two dozen minutes, the mist slowly, but surely, clearing up. You can see the terrible carnage, dozens of mutilated ratmen bodies piled up, and it hits you just how close to death you've come. So very, very close. The smell of piss, the sight of blood, the feel of it, the taste of it for some of you in the thick of the melee (or, in Camella's case, forced to clean up during it), the deafening silence... it all begins to wear down upon your mind. Then there's the aftermath. You're all horrible scarred and had come near unto death at one point or another. You can't help, but think: 'What if it had been me? What if that blade had come a bit closer? What if I had fallen like that one? What if I hadn't escaped the poison gas? What if I hadn't donned my mask?'. All of you, except Aria who has slept through more of the atrocities, feels their grip on reality weaken every so slightly.

OOC: You all gain a single Insanity Point, except Aria who managed to pass the Willpower Test

It is at this point that you hear a great commotion and the footsteps of heavily armored figures. The dogs go crazy and you prepare yourselves for another combat... then from around the corner comes a dozen dwarfs in full plate mail led by three engineers wielding a wicked assortment of black powder weapons. Each Engineer has their entire body covered in mail and an assortment of various tools and devices strapped to them.

"Took you long enough!" cries Glindly as his friend makes his way. Ulpi, for what it's worthy, looks ashamed of how long.

"Proper preparations must be made!" cries the lead Engineer, "A full warren of Skaven, this one said. This is just an advanced guard. We're beginning to call all of the Shieldbreakers back to duty" he adds.

"Aye, bloody bastages. We needed ta get more dwarfs in here. Fookin ratzes make me blood bloody well burn" growls Goldut.

"It seems that we arrived a bit too late" comments the Engineer, looking at the bodies of the Skaven, "You lot are good. Not even a smoke bomb dented your enthusiasm" nods the lead Engineer, "Head Engineer Rulcar Gromlik, at the service of your and your clan's. Except the Elf's. Glad to see a bloody tree-hugger sweating in the shit" laughs Rulcar.

"Oi!" cries Goldut, "This elf is da snotling's bollocks. She may be a dirty long-limbed monkey-dog descended from a long line of vile, treacherous, moose-molesting, beard-shaving, feces throwing bastards, but this she is our dirty long-limbed monkey-dog descended from a long line of vile, treacherous, moose-molesting, beard-shaving, feces throwing bastards! I will not stand to see her insulted after she saved my life!" thunder Goldut.

"Apologies, brother. I meant to say that it is nice to see an elf whose stick is not so far up their bottom that they are willing to be in a place like this" retorts Rulcar.

"Thank you, Rulcar" nods Goldut.

"So, what has happened here?" asks Rulcar.

Rulcar laughs uproariously at the display of fine Dwarven wit.

"A fine fight indeed!" he proclaims, "Let us hope that it is over. Come now, you lot have done your part. Let us do ours. Sheildbreakers, champions of the battle of the underway, forwards!" Rulcar yells. A sergeant shouts something out in Khazlid and the dwarfs in plate armor put their shields up, advancing in step. The Engineers are right besides them as they head directly into the mists.

Re: The Dwarven College of Engineering
"Good luck and swift victory to you, though if you have need of a good surgeon come and find me, my rates are quite competitive!" Camella yells after the column of heavily armored Dwarves, wishing them luck while offering her skills in the same breath, for a reasonable price of course.

Smirking as she listened to Aria's gibberish Camella leaned in as she said. "I don't claim to be an expert on Dwarves but I think he just defended your honor. As for your wound, I'll check on it tomorrow for you, but I don't think you'll have to worry about stitches or anything like that, the blade didn't go too deep, though it was poisoned with manticore dung, so you're quite fortunate to be alive. Henry here however, he's going to be bed ridden for the next couple of days if he knows what's good for him, and definitely no lifting unconscious elves while your at it, same with Gunnar, though he should be well enough after another visit." She said looking at each man in turn as she approached Glindly.

"As for you, you're an awfully brave Sewer Jack and I can't help but wonder about what you've been through to make you so." Camella said with a playful grin as she spoke. "Now be a peach pie and lose the shirt so I can check that wound of your's."

"So any plans for later? Because I don't know about you, but I'm going to need a nice long bath after this, and I'm not opposed to sharing one with a particularly brave Halfling. So do you know of a good place for a nice long and uninterrupted soak?"
Camella asked, flirting as she set about patching him up while taking the opportunity to check him out properly while she had his shirt off.

OOC:
01:33, Today: Camella Catkins rolled 56 using 1d100. Heal 65.

Re: The Dwarven College of Engineering
Heinrich had gotten up, and once the gas had dissipated moved back to where the battle had occurred. He looked around at the dead piled around. It had been the first pitched battle he'd ever really fought in, and if it hasn't been for camella he might have died in this tunnel. He gingerly touched his bandages wound, wincing at the touch. He'd have a scar, he thought to himself, and it wouldn't be his last if his brother had any say in the matter. The death, the prospect of death, and his own mortality weighed heavily on him, as he started searching and moving bodies of the rat men. After moving a few, he found  what he was looking for. He picked his parrying dagger, and sheathed it. He searched a few more of the rats, for anything of interest, before moving back to the group.

He spoke to the head engineer, "Could have used a hand, but I'm glad you are here now."

Re: The Dwarven College of Engineering
Glindly smiles and says something in the strange Halfling tongue while turning slightly red.

As the heavily armed and armored dwarven warriors advance through the mists, Rulcar comes over to talk to all of you.

"You lot had it in hand. Got to say, I'm surprised that the Skaven didn't take advantage of that smoke grenade. Their primary sense is smell after all with sight being secondary. Should have given them the edge" he nods appreciatively.

OOC: Yes, that was just a smoke grenade. No poison gas at all

"Goldut has told us of your quest. We'll split the spoils with you, since the college can't be going home empty handed, of course. However the frame is yours by right" confirms Rulcar, "We will return it to you so you may pass it to the Temple of Sigmar. We honor our commitment to your God-King" nods Rulcar at Heinricus. You can imagine that this view is not appreciated in Middenheim, home of the White Wolf. You can equally well imagine that the Middenheimers, many of whom owe their lives to the intervention of Dwarfs from the world over, are not about to raise objections. Those who would are probably very dead or have learned a bloody lesson in the wisdom in silence.

Re: The Dwarven College of Engineering
Blushing in turn because of Glindly's suggestive and enticing offer, Camella finished bandaging his side while she listened to what the engineer said as her face grew a shade or two redder from embarrassment. "I guess they couldn't with a wall of their dead between us and them. So how do you know it was just smoke? Those wounded and now dead rats sure made quite the terrible racket inside the cloud." Camella asked, not certain if she preferred the thought of a terrifying Skaven weapon being used on them or having soiled herself and worn her panties as a mask for no good reason.

Re: The Dwarven College of Engineering
"I like you, Gunnar" laughs Rulcar, "I do not quite understand why you've not applied for application in the college. I am sure that any of our artisans would be happy to take ye as an apprentice" he smiles, "Or the Shieldbearers" he adds as you hear a scream in the distance, "Though they may want to work on your form" he laughs.

Several minutes later one of the Shield Bearer Sergeants comes out to announce that all is clear. Inside you find a massive chamber that was in the process of being excavated. The chamber is cluttered with all manner of detritus and debris. It smells to all the hells and those of you who put on a mask are reminded of the smell.

"Aye, laddies. Almost positive if ya dig in that thar direction ye'll finda Skaven tunnel. Seems these buggers were just a forwards force" comments Goldut.

"The frame?" asks Rulcar.

"We found'it in a special room on the side. 'ere you are" smiles Goldut, placing the frame into Gunnar's hands.

"Loot?"

"The special side room had a big ol' chest. Itwa empty" responds Goldut.

"Bugger" growls Rulcar.

"No loot? Ah well, at least I'll still be getting some booty" grins Glindly.

"Roight. Anywho we did find two other things. One is that Shrine to Grungi there" states Goldut, bowing his head reverently towards a stalagmite. You have no idea why.

"The other was this 'ere muster list. Notice anything?" grins Goldut.

On this 'muster list' are a series of marks on the wall. You see a great deal of triangular shapes, however there is one that stands out. A large red skull. It bears not a single resemblance to any of the smaller, lither shapes.

"Any idea what that there is?" asks Goldut with a raised eyebrow. Rulcar looks at you two expectantly. Meanwhile the other shieldbearers are moving to secure the area as the engineers check the area for traps and hidden passages.

Chuckling at Glindly's remark, Camella looked over the muster list uncertain as to it's purpose. "Other than the skull being made from blood, while the rest does not, no. I'm afraid I'm not quite familiar with the Skaven or their iconography, though one can deduce it isn't a good sign, and that whatever it is, it is much larger and very different from whatever the triangles represent." Camella suggests, wondering if Gunnar had seen such an image before.

"Hmmm... so I see. Be on the watch for it. For I am sure that one of us will see it again" nods Rulcar sagely.

"Aye. I see somethin' like it every darn time I use the bathroom" cackles Goldut.

"Indeed... well, I leave you to your affairs. We will be looking into where that leads to" comments Rular, pointing to the tunnel in the process of being excavated by the Skaven. With that you're all left alone.

"Well, I'd suggest getting that frame to the Temple of Sigmar then. The lads will get back and make a report about the 'beastmen'. In the morning I'll have a job for you lot. For now, I have a job for Camella" grins Glindly, "I have quite a few bruises that need tending to" he leers.

OOC: You lot have time for last words. Again, you've all gained 250 experience.

Watch Captain Schutzmann hears your report with great interest and rewards you with 10 gold crowns each. He thanks you and informs you all that, should anything come of it, he will inform you all.

At the Temple of Sigmar you meet the Lector Johan Goldrake. He is most happy to have the frame back. The three of you (Aria, Gunnar, Heinricus) are healed by the Church of Sigmar and told to come back at any point for healing. They will see to your wounds.

With this you all make your way to various areas to rest.

OOC: You may have conversations with Schutzmann/Goldrake here. I imagine some of you will want to speak with one of them about anything.
