Wow, a lot of humans here. How is everyone with 4E? I've watched a lot, but this'll be my first time playing.

Re: Table talk (OOC)
Hehe. With a fighter and a warlord we really should have had a rogue (probably a halfling artful dodger). The dps would have been though the roof on that guy :)

Looks like we have plenty of ranged people but only 2 melee. I have never tried that before, and I'll be interested in seeing how that will work out with the warlord. I have also never seen a Seeker in action, so that will be interesting too.

I have played some D&D 4th and feel comfortable with the rules - although this is actually my first ranged character :)

Re: Table talk (OOC)
OH yeah. With a Barbarian, Monk, Rogue, or any other melee striker, they'd be having the time of their life x)

Looks like Roger and I are going to be best friends forever. I hope he has a good weapon because he'll be getting a ton of free hits! I think those attacks activate the fighter's mark-taunt-thingy too... So that could be fun.

Edit: If anyone needs/wants/desires avatars, I spend an embarrassingly large amount of my leisure time browsing for portraits- I could easily send you some pictures if you wanted!

Re: Table talk (OOC)
He he yeah well I'm thinking of using a bastard sword gives me the option to not only use a shield if need be, but I can also use it as a two handed weapon and increase the die that I can use for damage.    Also I have some experience with 4ed. but I got my start with 3.5 ed, so it might take me a little time to get the hang of things :).

Re: Table talk (OOC)
I have a lot of experience with D&D 4.0 since I'm playing many games and DMing three games on RPoL.

I usually play Leader in a group, but this time, I was looking for something new. I have decided to go with a Seeker.

Re: Table talk (OOC)
@Roger
You can do that? I thought that if you use one-handed weapon in two hands it gives it a +1 damage... Or is that only for versatile weapons?

@Richard
Hey, Leader combat role doesn't mean that's their party role, right? Who knows how things will work out! :)

Re: Table talk (OOC)
@lethia
I do not think that has changed from 3.5 but even if it has it still gives me some options if the need arises

Re: Table talk (OOC)
In reply to Lethia Qulen (msg # 12):

Leader are Healer like Cleric and Warlord. I was meaning character role, not party role.

I am sorry to say that you do not get an increased damage die. Only the +1 damage as Lethia indicates.

Re: Table talk (OOC)
In reply to Richard Rahl (msg # 14):
Ohhh. Okay. I'm used to tanks and really durable fighter-esque characters, but I did some personality quizzes for fun and told myself I'd make a character for what I got. Turns out this joke character is actually a lot more compelling than most of my other characters lol

Re: Table talk (OOC)
Answering some common questions here so we will all know the answers.

What level are we?
We are starting at level 1 with 100gp

How do i calculate my stat points?
Use the point buy system from the players handbook or any array listed there.

Now a question for you. How are your character sheets coming?
