Deep below the Keep.
The war room is empty as the searchers pack away their findings. And nothing has happened with the other door as Roger stands guard.

Re: Deep below the Keep.
Tijis waits for the group to reassemble, then moves towards the stairs leading up.

Moving right along - sounds like we want to return to the site of the prior long rest.

Re: Deep below the Keep.
The watches pass uneventfully. Wounds are mended although bodies are sore and everyone is fairly rested as the sleep was restless and fleeting.

All powers and surges are recharged and ready.

"Well, that went better than I had feared. Let's go take care of whatever was those laughing down there," Maeruhn says and readies his new axe.

Re: Deep below the Keep.
Tijis sleeps fitfully, murmuring several times about escaping rising water levels. He knuckles his back as his watch ends and the rest of the party gathers their things.

"An uneventful night is a good night," Tijis agrees. "Let's see if those voices noticed anything amiss."

Re: Deep below the Keep.
Roger feels much better now as if he can now take on several more waves of the undead or goblins.  He then turns to the others and says, "Yes let us be on our way and see just who or what was laughing down within the keep."  With this he waits for the others to start moving after which he will follow shortly their after.

Re: Deep below the Keep.
Dak gets up and stretches. The third watch was always a horrible one. You never got enough sleep. But, he didn't mind. he still felt quite refreshed. "I agree. Let's head back down and see what there is to see."

Re: Deep below the Keep.
As the group walks back to the hall where they heard noise behind the door. The group freezes as the situation is different. Now clearly from the end of the hall the door is open. Everything is very quite and the hall is darker with a few torches out.

Maeruhn whispers "Unsurprisingly, they have seen what has happened. An ambush has likely been set. Perhaps we should try to trigger it, without walking into it? Like throwing something into the room?"

Re: Deep below the Keep.
Tijis shrugs, but his face hardens. "I am running out of patience with these underlings. We should dispatch them quickly, then get on about finding this Kalarel. The plans we found of an assault on Winterhaven are very disturbing - we need to put an end to them." Tijis seems ready to charge into the room, alone if necessary.

Splug follows along behind the group, refreshed after his first good sleep in many weeks. He reaches into a pouch at his belt and pulls out a sunrod and taps Maeruhn  on the arm with it. "How 'bout dis?" he asks, holding it out.

Re: Deep below the Keep.
"I suppose that could work," Maeruhn answers his goblin ally. "To be honest, I have no real idea about what we should do, so I am up for whatever ... including just charging into the room," he adds whispering with a nod to Tijis

Re: Deep below the Keep.
Dak wonders if throwing something in the room will really work, but has no other ideas, so he simply nods, and waits.

Re: Deep below the Keep.
Splug snaps the rod to get it shining, then hurls it into the middle of the area as best he can.

The sun rod clatters through the room raveling two other doors both closed.

"Hmm. Well ... that didn't make our choices easier. Of course there is the slight possibility that they have all just left here ..."
