We have a new player! Welcome Sin Ya!

Woren, would you be so kind to show Sin Ya the ropes, maybe give her heads up? A general impression of the game?

Just please, no spoilers.

Oh a new player my my welcome after being the only for such a long time it's hard to believe.  Welcome Sin Ya your in for a treat I can assure you of that after all I'm very far into the game so I should know ;).  In any case don't worry about any spoilers from me that's not the kind of person that I am.  However I will say this much that if you give this game your all and have fun then you'll do just fine, but if you need anything feel free to ask I'll try to help in any way I can :).

There will be no "catching up" Sin Ya. This is a solo game. I'm going to run you through the same campaign as Woren, but you two will not "meet". Its the same game but he is the protagonist in his campaign and are the protagonist in yours.

Unless you mean you'll post like crazy in which case yes it's possible to catch up, but highly unlikely because in Woren's game we're 2000 posts into the game already.

It's true we have been at this for some time as I like this game I don't give up so easy and make sure to put my all in to it.  And yes we are both the hero of our own story, but that doesn't mean I can't help you.  If you have any questions I can try and answer them for you.  Like for an example if you are not all that familiar with rpol or how to post I can help with that or any other general questions you may have.  Also I'm guessing you were speaking metaphorically not literally when you said you were a monster, lol.  I myself am a bit of a badass though lol XD in any case welcome.

And unfortunately Sin Ya had to leave due to being too busy with hosting his own game. But a new player has taken his place. Welcome Astaire Inkaku!

Woren, it is great to meet you! I am really pumped to start this asap and look forward to picking your brain about general facts (no spoilers). I read the above posts by you and assume that you would extend the same courtesy to me ;)

Yo hey new comer nice to meet you.  It seems like you are going to be part of my game for a little while at least until you get the hang of things.  After that you might go on your own journey and make your own story.  So as far as I know you can take over one of the npc's in my game.  I have a few ideas already for you and don't worry the ones I'm giving you will be awesome.  So the suggestions I have for you are the following:  Kineson he essentially a really awesome ranger who also has a giant wolf as his best friend.  Fumio a samurai and diplomate by nature with a VERY high diplomacy skill his focus is on challenging others and using his own abilities to help the others in my group.  Zed he's a bit more difficult he's mage and a strong one at that however he's very stuck up might not be the best fit for you.  Ylwa a barbarian women who loves freedom and kicking the crap out of people. And that should be everyone else in my group either would not be a good fit for you or are severing a different service(if you will) that I much rather leave to the gm sorry.  I can give you full details on any of these people if you want including stats and anything else you might need.  Also once you get a feel for things and make a choice I'll let you see my stats as well as we will be fighting together.  However don't feel obligated to join my game you can always request your own game.  Like I said you will be a part of my game because of how green you so in the end this is trying to help you gain a foothold on this game.  No matter your choice just know that I will try and help you in any way I can so feel free to ask me anything and I'll do my best to answer :).

Kineson sounds good! I think his character is more of action than talking which would suit me nicely. hopefully I won't be the one to drag the story down. So what do I do now? Or where do I start?

Kineson = the male version of this (both cases)


Things you need to know about him:
-He's a forest guardian and I mean that literally (Hunter plus Warder multiclass character).
-He is indeed a "serious" an "stoic" character, I had put a few of those in the game to balance out all the goofballs. He prefers the outdoors and the company of his wolf Hashiro over being stuffed inside castles and cities and the endless chatter of people (he is a ranger after all). He is a boy of few words and serious action.
-He was born in Ryuku village (see the bottom right corner of the game map). That place is "goofball central", however every generation or so the forest spirits (kami) choose a child to be the guardian of the mountain. Kineson was just a little boy when he wandered off into the woods and got fascinated by nature. He became a ranger and aside from the occasional visit to settlements (to sell pelts and buy some necessities) he had no contact with civilizations.
-He was 14 years old when he first met Woren. The forest had seen an unusual increased amount of monster activity and he was chasing a band of orcs. With Woren, Jirou, Ellie, Riana and Volgan's help he defeated the orcs. He was injured but had to resume the chase (some of the orcs fled, plus there was still work to be done back in the forest). Despite some protests, Woren used his party's remaining healing power on Kineson and Hashiro instead on his own. (good call on TDs part since this was one of the requirements to recruit Kineson later)

-Much later, Kineson met with Woren again. It was revealed that the increased monster activity was due to the monsters fleeing the massive Imperial army heading this way. With some convincing, Woren made Kineson see that standing alone against the tide would solve nothing. That his best chance on stopping this threat was to join up with him until this blew over.

-Kineson has been with him ever since. He's 15 years old now, the youngest "combat capable" person in the group (there are younger characters, but they are strictly support types). He's also a major badass. In fact I'm not entirely sure who would win in a duel, Woren or Kineson and Hashiro? Maybe one of these days you guys can duke it out.

Ha ha ha it would be interesting to see the three fight, Woren has become a badass as well and has grown even stronger.  Right now it's the gm's turn to post and we are about to have ourselves a party.  I've already given the gm some ideas on how the party should play out.  Let's just say it should be fun.  You can if you want to rp as Kineson or just wait a bit until the party trust me you'll get a chance if you wait.  A few options if you want I can give you a few suggestions.  For example as the gm said Kineson is starting to get to that age where he could start to feel stirrings for girls and he may even have someone in mind, but that would mostly be up to the gm.  However as such he could talk to Woren in private as Woren already has a girlfriend in game (Ellie in case you are wondering) as such he could ask for Woren's help especially because they are so close in age.  Woren is 16 right now fyi.  I can also like I said send you a pm with all the stats you need.  However I think it might be best to first ask how familiar you are with the system as I don't want to overwhelm you with to much.  So just let me know and we can go from their also don't worry to much about dragging me down.  If you ever feel like you are or if you feel as though your ready you can always ask to have your own game.  Oh yeah one big suggestion I can give you is to not to read through every post I made.  Their are a few reasons for this.  The first should be obvious as their are a lot of posts after all me and the gm have been at this for almost a year.  The second is in case you ever do want your game you won't know too much about the game and can make your own choices as that's half the fun :).  In any case that should be it just let me know when you want your stats and I'll give it to you :).

No he's not. Woren started out as 17 (probably) and is nearing 18 (probably). I say probably because no one knows exactly how old he is or when he was born because he was already a small child when Inkaku brought him to Kyoto to raise him.

But he's definitely not 16.

Whoops my bad sorry about that.  Still I don't think my idea was a bad one.  Another one has already been suggested by the gm.  Kineson challenges Woren to a fight to test both of their power.  That could also be interesting :).
