Alveris moves quickly toward the bridge, intermittently stopping and starting suddenly to try to trip up the Gnome following him.

You can hear him singing softly something that goes "me and my shaaaaaadow!"

When the door to the bridge is opened, Alveris leaps in.

Expecting me?  Normally I'd never do anything predictable, lifestyle choice, maybe personal idiom, which is why I decided to show up!  Didn't expect that did you?

Ah, there you are are.  Wonderful, it looks as if my First Officer has rushed off to his death for no reason, I'm glad that you gave us this merry chase I...  Olek trails off, staring intently at the Red Mantle on Alveris' head.  He looks toward Uthor.

Well then, you gave us quite a run.  Conrad and James went looking for you, James in particular seemed rather distraught.  You wouldn't have any idea where they'd think to look for you would you?

If I had to guess, I'd say practicing his marching or being busy not being as good looking as me, but I don't have to guess.  He's onboard the Red Spring, only not YOUR Red Spring, mine.  You've probably figured out that this Magneto Helmet of mine lets me jump between worlds.  Or realities, or something.  Maybe not, but the long and short of it is I'm basically a galaxy-hopping God.

I'm mostly here to have a look around, take in the sights, try the room service.  Maybe this dimension can be my summer home.  Now that I've seen it though, I'm not really feeling it.  Decor is too bland.

God Olek, AT LEAST some throw pillows, a Chinese Sex Wheel, wet bar...

As he speaks, Alveris first leans on a console for support, then slowly sinks to his knees.

Come to think of it, I'm not feeling so hot.

Amazing maybe, sexy, dashing, but not well.

With that, Alveris pops out of reality.

From his tone, Olek is as exhausted by the whole affair as he is angry.  His face isn't as red as it normally gets and his veins aren't quite as popped.  He has dark circles under his eyes indicating he hasn't slept in some time.

He scowls.

"I'd rather assume it's all smoke and mirrors and feyic trickery, because the alternative is too bizarre to comprehend. Regardless, that is where we found Alveris. We told him a few things that only happened in our version of reality, and he came with us."

Fireface also learned of a traitor in his midst, Conrad muses, keeping this last bit to himself. I wonder if it's the same as ours.
