The Game

Soon, a whistle played over the intercoms signals all crew to meet on the bridge.

Olek stands in front of the massive glass screen, the dark green murky depths highlighted in searchlight behind him.

Solemnly, he leads the crew in prayer and remembrance of those departed.  Those who died in noble service, sealing themselves in the Cargo hold to prevent the rest of the crew from drowning with them, and he who died apprehending a dangerous traitor.

It isn't a long speech, but it is deep and resounding, the sort of speech that hangs with you hours after it's over and that very few GMs can write effectively.

At the conclusion, as per Gnomish Maritime tradition, the crew proceed to the Dive Room where the bodies are dropped through the moon door to be turned over to the briny deep.  All present drink a toast to the departed, one beer for each, then a drink for the survivors, then one for the mission and, lastly and most importantly, one for the Empire.

A while later, when the toasts have worn off, the crew get the ship underway and the Red Spring continues its long journey.

~DING!~

In reply to GM (msg # 1):

James slides into a deep depression seeing one person that he trusted and another who he associated with both turn on the ship and crew.  Even though he will often drink sullenly he is so active with his healing lately that he has become significantly improved in it (acquiring the natural healer edge).  When not working with the wounded he will visit the prisoners with Alveris, Conrad and/or by himself to interrogate them (in methods I don't have time to write at the moment).

Re: The Game

Uthor snaps the Attack cartridge out of Jeeves and returns it to the case, replacing it with Porter and ordering the AutoGnome to follow him to the memorial ceremony.

After the ceremony, he finds a spot in a room with a few other gnomes (to avoid being goblin'd) and starts poring over Ragnar's codebook and notebook for any and all information on the traitors.

Re: The Game

In reply to Uthor son of Magnusson (msg # 3):

The notebook is mostly a running log of what the Red Spring has been doing.  It has regular dates and positions going back to when Ragnar boarded.  He takes careful note of each time the Mirror was used and what the Fey have been up to.

It also has notes on each crewmember, but apart from the names everything is in code.

At the dates you encountered the Dark Reach, there is detailed documentation of that expedition (from what he could tell without having gone) and on the equipment you brought back.

There are also tons of codes, passwords, callsigns, etc. which look to be copied from other books.
