Re: The Game

In reply to GM (msg # 841):

Alveris raises his unarmed hands in the air

[Persuasion 5]

"Woa now fellas. Buy a guy a drink before you start threatening to fill him with holes. I've already got holes, and none of you are the type I'm interested in having fill them.

Why don't we all take a deep breath, and start working our way up toward the helm? I can lead the way, and you can keep all those fancy weapons pointed at me.

Fair?"

I'll be the pied piper, you two better have a plan..

Re: The Game

In reply to Alveris Alderis (msg # 842):

You hear a clear fey voice cutting through the battlefield.  All you can tell is that is that it is in a state of panic.

Private to Alveris Alderis; Doro of Mya: Alveris, get in here and bring the 517 ops with you.  Whenever I say an animal name brace yourself.  Lets get them at the pinch spot.]

I hope to god Lotor and Doro are smart enough to attack them from behind.

Re: The Game

In reply to James (msg # 844):

See. Now 2 of us think it's a good idea. Something's obviously going wrong in there.

It probably merits a follow up.

Look, there's like 9 of you. I'm just one guy. You've got me outnumbered. I'm of no mind to die this second, so we don't we talk for a second before we decide we have to fight. We're all adults here. Some even consenting.

So,

Why dont we see what's going on with Jamie. That was a pretty girlish cry, even for Jamie. Either his dress is on fire, or the ship might explode.

And that's an all die proposition gentlemen.

You don't have to trust me any further than you want to live. Because I want to live.

How much longer you do will remain unmentioned. Why state the obvious?

I'm heading that way.

Alveris turns toward James, draws 2 poision daggers, and bounds off for Jamie.

Waiting to see if they shoot is the worst part.

Re: The Game

In reply to Conrad Deepsavior (msg # 847):

In addition to the screaming, shooting, shouting and cursing you hear over the intercoms from the Helm, you hear a voice yell:

"The Lt. Commander is resisting, Kill them all and get the artifact!"

Then the ship lurches horribly.

[OOC: Agility roll difficulty 5 to not be knocked down...again]

Doro loses his grip on the pipes and goes tumbling across the hallway to crash somewhere beside Uthor.

Of the Storm Troopers, 4 go crashing to the deck in a mess of shields, guns and well-oiled beards.  One remains standing as does, somehow, the AutoGnome.

~Hall Combat Round 2~

Uthor is hiding, Doro is on the ground as are 4 Storm Troopers.  1 Trooper and 1 AutoGnome (with servitor) are standing.

Alveris stands with his Gnome buddy.

Doro - Joker - 1st
Uthor - Hold
Alveris - 8 of hearts - last
Gnome - Ace of spades - 2nd
Enemy - 10 of hearts - 3rd

Doro leaps to his feet and through the open door into the Engine room.

Re: The Game

In reply to GM (msg # 854):

If the one standing trooper were moved by Alveris' words, the combination of bucking ship and sounds/voices from the bridge put him off it.

He and the AutoGnome fire at the only targets they can see, Alveris and the Gnomish sailor.

The AutoGnome sprays bullets from ground to ceiling, which ping and ring off the decks in a deafening cacophany.  One shot nearly hits the Gnome just as he hides (would have hit but for the -1 cover).

Amid the rattle, hiss and ring of the repeater carbine, a single shotgun blast rings out, spraying poor Alveris with a cloud of small pellets.  Small, but deadly (damage 30).

The 4 prone Storm Troopers regain their feet.

[Wild attack, Multi Action Penalty, Assuming Test of Wills success previous round, Called Shot (Head) -2 overall]

[Throwing 20]
[Damage He's just dead, right? He's got to be.]

The dagger flies true and pierces the lone standing soldier right between the eyes, dropping him immediately.

But not before a shotgun blast rips through the unsuspecting Fey, cutting him down in similar immediacy.

[Vigor/Benny Soak 19]
[Armor 6]
[Wounds 2]

A gasping Alveris staggers to his feet, bracing against the side of the ship in preparation of the announced animal crossing.

"Well that sucked. Are we sure talking is out?"

A gasping and beleaguered Alveris holds a dagger in front of him, listening intently to Connie's announcement.

[Persuasion 15]

"So are you going to bark all day little doggies, or are you going to bite? Me, I'm going to get some medical attention, because, and I'm not sure if you are aware of this, my chest is FILLED with holes, which is, less than stellar.

Now get out of my sight and head for the dive bell.

Jamie, I uh, might need some medical attention. Coming your way

Alveris staggers toward the Engine Room.

Re: The Game

In reply to Alveris Alderis (msg # 862):

~Hall Combat Round 3~

Alveris - Ace of spades - 1st - action already taken
Gnome - 6 of hearts - last
Enemy - Ace of hearts - 2nd
Uthor - 6 of clubs - Hold

Disposition:

Alveris is standing and attempting to persuade the enemy to surrender, the Gnome is taking cover amid the pipes.

Uthor is hiding amid further-back pipes.

2 Storm Troopers are standing, 2 are on the ground with their Autognome.

[OOC: Alveris, if you wish you can duck through into the Engine room as your move after you talk, or you can stay an easy target and hope they don't shoot you.  Uthor, you're still on Hold, I assume you'll continue to do so?]

Re: The Game

Uthor continues to hold until either a) he is discovered (probably get a Danger Sense roll to anticipate that) or b) someone comes within melee range.  If either of those things happen, I'll probably have to react.

EDIT: Or, alternatively, until the stormtroopers stand down and leave me alone.

In reply to Uthor son of Magnusson (msg # 864):

The fallen troops regain their footing.

Those already standing, though certainly not prepared to forget the flying knife in their companion's face and surrender, hold their fire.

[OOC: Enemy go on HOLD and since everyone here is either on HOLD or talking instead of fighting...]

~END COMBAT~

One Storm Trooper speaks:

"We will not leave until we have retrieved the artifact, and that does not change with the death of my commander.  Turn it over and we'll go."

James wanders into the hallway from the engine room.

Re: The Game

In reply to GM (msg # 865):

I don't know where the fucking helmet is, and I really don't care what happens to it.  The best chance you have for this is to go talk to Connie and Olek.

He sees blood seeping from Alveris and his face turns to stone, in this moment he looks dangerously like his father.

I am going to the helm to see if I can help your commander.  I am the best healer on this ship.  If you have any wounded then bring them to helm I will help them if I can.  Come on Alveris

Unless they physically stop him James will brush past the invading team with Alveris in tow.  He will march straight to the bridge.

He is using his spear as a walking stick but its obvious that he is ready to use it.  The blood sprayed across his face makes him look... actually kind of frightening... which is a lot to say for him.
