What is the range/size modifiers for the incoming guys on the road?  Also to be clear Hom does not have a grenade?  Don't you get one free with every purchase of a gently used gnome?

In reply to James (msg # 68):

Hom does not have a grenade.  If he did, it's gone now.

You can fire anytime you like, they don't seem to be avoiding you so you can fire at long, medium or short range.

Sheeple have no size mod, the bearsheep has +2 to hit.

If I shoot at long range can I get another aimed shot off before they get to the tower?

If they run straight for the tower instead of hiding/dodging/turning into purple dragons, yes.

Re: OOC Discussion: part 2 electric bugaloo

In reply to GM (msg # 71):

With respect to the AIM action.

Normally, you must designate a specific target that you can see.  The rules for aiming specify that the +2 is no good against any other target.  This means that aiming at a closed door really doesn't work under normal rules.

However, since it's a small door and there isn't much room to maneuver, I'll let you do it in this particular situation.

From now on though, aiming requires a specific target, it's not meant to be a universal "Overwatch".

So, I'm not sure what exactly I'd be shooting AT if I unload at the door. What parry/toughness is involved?

Re: OOC Discussion: part 2 electric bugaloo

In reply to James (msg # 77):

@Conrad, you can shoot at the shapes charging you now.

Shooting attacks don't involve parry, just difficulty modified by distance, cover, size, etc.  Shooting a door would be base difficulty, with possible mods for size.

Shooting someone THROUGH a door would basically treat the door as armor and add toughness to them and would also make it hard for you to hit them, since you're shooting at something you cannot see.

@James opportunities addressed in post.  The poison has no effect if it doesn't go through the fuzzy fuzzy hide.

Ok, cool. But what I guess I'm getting at is, without knowing their toughness, I can't do a full write-up. Unless you just want me to roll the Hitdice and let you take it from there.

How far away is the one in the saddle?  What are the hit modifiers on him?  Is he moving towards the tower?

Essentially I'm considering taking an aimed shot at him instead of the sheeple.

He's just barely in view, long range.

If you aim, the sheeple will be at the tower before you fire.

Re: OOC Discussion: part 2 electric bugaloo

In reply to GM (msg # 82):

For future reference:  if you want to grab the release lever on the AutoGnome, I'll say that's a -4 to hit called shot.  If you can make that hit, a simple STR check will open it and release the program cylinder.

Re: OOC Discussion: part 2 electric bugaloo

I think I figured it at -2 called shot, but -4 makes sense.  Though it should also be +2 for being a touch attack.  Either way, it's unlikely I'll try that again right now, but we'll see.
