Character Name: Loxley the Fox aka Loxley the Elusive, Loxley EverGrand
Race: Half Elf
Class: Bard
Traits: Savant (Oratory), Maestro of the Society
Personality: Flamboyant; Loxley has a way with words and he is not afraid to use them. A skilled diplomat and negotiator, he has served his companions well in this regard. Words seem to drop from his tongue like honey transformed into gold. And there seems to be little that Loxley enjoys more than spinning a good tale, whether it is a story of the exploits of his companions across the continents or simply a lark to talk some merchant out of a few free drinks. Not one to bother with the accompaniment of instruments, his singing voice is as solid as his storytelling voice.
Backstory: Loxley has been with the same group of adventurers from the beginning and they have helped him build the reputation that he holds today. It is said that Loxley can mysteriously disappear only to arise in a new location of his choosing, some say even behind walls. An ability that has given him favor in combat and out. This has earned him the nickname of Loxley the Elusive. But he is more often known simply as Loxley the Fox, which is an attribute not only to his skills of elusiveness but of his cunning as well. It is said that Loxley has devised a way to make himself immune to malevolent spells so much so that he is known to mock spellcasters and taunt them until they catch fire. He is never even seen going into battle with any armor besides his pair of well worn bracers that he insists were a gift from his father.
Iconic Item: Mantle of Spell Resistance
Quotes: I was unfamiliar with the spell but it was as if suddenly the very winds of hell had been unleashed against my body. I knew the heat was enough to begin to cook the flesh from my bones and a sudden fatigue tried to bring me down as well. I simply wrapped my arms around myself as if warming myself from a night of bitter cold and the winds abated against me. Malevolent spells have always been such against me thanks to a special blessing, I believe, from Cayden Cailean himself. He alone knows how many cups I have raised in his honor. Pray, fill my mug again, and let us raise another to the Lucky Drunk together!

[SPOILERBUTTON="Beautiful Dance"]
It was like a beautiful dance, in combat and out. Loxley took the lead. With his resistance to spells and armored defense he was able to stand out in front, his rapier flashing to and fro. Meanwhile, the two halflings Dorian and Gloria were able to dart around on their cohorts, slinging missiles and spells around like wine flowing into a cup. Salix likewise cast her spells to great effect but like her humble nature stood afar off from the commotion making that the others so enjoyed. With Loxley adding a few taunts for good measure and an occasional arcane effect.
In a tavern setting Loxley could as easily take the lead, but he never had to. Gloria and Dorian could charm their way into the courts of the highest kings, so gathering information bar side was a picnic for either of them. Loxley provided distraction as needed, or sat back as quietly as Salix and observed and listened for every flying scrap of information.
They were a good team and Loxley looked forward to getting out on the road with them again. Drinking and carousing had its merits, but nothing matched the life of adventure. Especially when one could be doing good in the world as well.
