The Halfling Town of Burrow
Pushing the mule hard, the party arrives at the town of Burrow as the sun sinks orange, glinting red off the soft clouds.
The little people are heading in from their fields, towards homes under hills, or the Red Goose Tavern.
Some Halflings wave and laugh, others pull down their hats and grumble. Some children run up, asking for trade trinkets from far off lands.

Re: The Halfling Town of Burrow
Noting the tavern and the sun hanging low, Laas turns to Solrin and Quoril, "Let's find somewhere to eat and rest tonight, we can resupply in the morning."

Solrin gives the residents a friendly smile, his gaze naturally seeking out any signs of trouble or distress. He looks for local military forces or guards- pondering if the town is defended from harm.

Re: The Halfling Town of Burrow
Solrin is probably a bit surprised to notice that the few town watch he sees seem to be paying them no heed, or no exceptional attention anyway.

Quoril knows that the Halfling settlements are in the middle of the Empires largest Amity Ward. Real strife literally never comes here. The question discussed in the Archmage's colleges is whether the Halflings nature strengthens the ward, bringing a sort of peaceful obliviousness to the area.

The tavern has small lamps hanging outside, with Halflings milling around the outer area, as well as pouring in with smiling faces.

Solrin surveys the interior of the Red Goose then, spotting a table against a wall makes his way over. He leans his spear and shield against the earthen wall with its curved support beams keeping it upright then removes his helmet sitting it down on the table. Carefully, being mindful of the smaller size of the table made for Halfling legs, he sits down on the bench-like seat and leans forwards glad to be off his feet in a warm place such as this after so many nights on the road.

Laas follows suit, removing his woolen cloak and hanging it over his oakenstaff before propping it against the wall next to Solrin's effects. He indulges his senses with the smell of earth and the sound of the fire crackling in the hearth under the din of the halfling's merriment.

A Halfling barmaid with long red braids moves over to greet you.
"Hey tall folks of the woods, what'll ya be havin'?"

"Whatever food and brew your fine establishment is renowned for, m'lady. I have never had a bad meal made by your folk," Solrin replied, politely.

The barmaid smiles and goes off to retrieve three of the daily specials, which turn out to be large meals of roast duck, with vegetables, bread, and pie.
A fat Halfling with a bald circle on the top of his head and a very large pipe full of pipe weed sits at your table.
"William S. Burrows is the name. I'm the mayor of Burrow. The name is just a fortunate coincidence. You strangers just passin' though then?"

Re: The Halfling Town of Burrow
Laas' eyes can't help bulging a little when they lay upon the sheer amount of food presented to them. The aroma makes his stomach rumble in anticipation.
"Ah, yes good sir. We were hoping to resupply in your fair town for our continued travel. My name is Laas, and these two are Solrin, and Quoril." He gestures to them in turn.
