Here is a suggested plan based on the earlier comments:

1.  Using the scent skill/spell is great idea!  I like the idea of getting an article of clothing of the princess from the camp to help with this plan.  We can then try to see if Eldhar can pick up her scent in the camp. If he picks up the scent, we follow it!  (We can decide how much time we want to rest to recover some power points).

2. If we don't pick up the scent,  we wait until nightfall.  We can recover some of our power that way, but we balance the time it will allow for them to recover from our previous attack.

3.  We approach the warehouse from the dessert side.  Amani can try to go into the warehouse through the front door and scout out the guard situation.

4.  If there are guards to contend with, we prepare our sleep spells, create a portal (like we did in the temple) from the dessert side and then cast the sleep spells to knock out the guards.  It is possible that the guards will not be a problem even if they are there as they would likely guarding the door.

5.  Once the guards are taken care of, we can go to the spot where the trap door was indicated and try to go through that door to find the princess. We check for traps, magical or otherwise.  Once we are through the door, we can try to see if we pick up her scent.

Whatever item of the princess's we can find, we would have to borrow and wrap carefully to minimize contaminating the scent.

As I've only tried to use the spell the one time, I don't know whether I will be able to recall scents from any prior spell duration(s).

I wonder if we are better off attempting this at night or during the heat of the day. If we rest and recovery our power points, the guild's guards become even more fatigued if they try to maintain watch through the day. Also, we could try to send someone to ensure that their alarm {bell/gong/horn / whatever it was} does not alert the others.

I also support trying this in the camp.  It may be that the princess was never in the Sandvoyagers' compound.  This can be supported by the fact that Eldhar accounted for all but one of the women in the camp, and the one he could not account for was the cook.

On the other hand, if he can pick up her scent from the Oasis, it may tell us where she was taken when she was kidnaped.  It may be the Sandvoyagers' compound and it may not.  And, it may be that the passage of time makes it impossible for him to pick up her scent.  But I think it's worth a try; if it fails, we can always go back to the compound.

Amani is currently watching the Sand Voyager's guild, so I will refrain from discussing the above plan.  Instead, I'll briefly summarize my part in the discussion from last game.

Amani reported that there was a trap door hidden under some crates in the NW corner of the warehouse.  The men went to report the incident to the "boss".

Amani suggested that you offer to take care of the ghost problem as an excuse to investigate the warehouse further.  If you choose this route, ask about what the ghost said, and warn that it could become more dangerous if left alone.

Unfortunately, your faces have already been seen at the scene of the incident, so they are unlikely to trust us.

To follow up on a suggestion someone made near the end last night:

I could try heating an object and carrying it with us, much like we'd done to ward off the cold of the desert.  That may enable us to go through the cold hallway to the cultist side of the complex.

I don't like that answer, so let me ask another question:

What does the area look like?  (Size, shape)  And, does it appear that the other shafts at the ends of the corridors lead here/there?  As in, does it appear that an assault launched at multiple shafts will lead to different portions of the same room/destination?

Eldhar seems a bit hesitant, then adds: "The reason I left my clan was guilt: as a child, we had combat training; I used a sweep to disarm a friend. ... He fell, sure enough, but he hit an exposed rock and died. Afterwards, I was not comfortable staying with the clan, or indeed, many large communities, because I still have echoes of that day.
If we think that "flame-eyed human" isn't human; I can try to engage him after our spell volleys are cast. Otherwise, I'll hang back and try to disable them as best I can with my abilities.

Either way, I plan to cast a few enhancing spells on myself just before we start the assault. Sadly, the nature of my abilities means that I can't cast on the rest of you, but I can handle my own spells, at least.

Maya description of the room was a Large Square room (perhaps 40 or 50 feet across) there were three other sets of stairs leading up to this room from the center of each of the walls.

If we go through the portal to attack this group, I would like to attack the drow cleric (female?) that we saw before, assuming she is not calmed.  I am willing to go second or third after Maya or Martin.  I would wait a certain number of counts before attacking to allow the spell casters to cast their calm spells.

I suggest we go through the portal after invisibility and fly spells cast on us.  I had thought that we might consider using other portals at the same time but it would probably take too long to organize that offensive.  We should try to make this decision to act quickly as the group may move while we equivocate.  We want to act as quickly as we can as the princess may be among the group Maya saw.

OOC: The Drow may be the only ones I can directly attack; due to background options. I don't think I'd last very long against the Fighter.

Fireball and the like is out because of the princess.  Here's a preliminary idea:

Dom and I cast calm and sleep, respectively.  (I think Dom can do that?)

Hopefully, between us, two or so of the foes go down.

Other who are invisible act at will.

HHowever, if we don't control some of that crowd, we're in trouble.

Yeah; I'll have my Calm V spell ready to go; plus a few self-buffs, of course. At least I can handle my own flight spell. Worst case; I'll keep spamming Calm V and hope a few stick.
