I have been very lucky to stumble across a GURPS game set in 1930. It revolves around the premise of normal people who gain super powers. The GM is a professional author and the game is very well written and researched with an almost daily post rate.

I don't think you've missed much.
All that's happened is the cavalry have shown up and we've sallied out of the castle to explore a couple of the buildings on the peninsula.

We just assume you're part of the exploration team but have been quiet until now.

We're currently exploring the square hangar in the middle of the peninsula's 'head' and we've found it to be full of body bags and a nursing station.

The doc and a couple of others are checking out the station and awaiting info on what they find, others are covering them from the doorway. You could be with either group.

I was NPCing Kaylie for a while. She noticed the castle moat was seawater and there was clothing floating in it. When the fire boats sprayed a large mass of infected with sea water and (mostly) dissolved them, that clothing made more sense.

Seawater seems to mostly dissolve infected, but not 100% for some reason. Yelow globs of fat and blue ropes of intestines, pitted yellow bones, etc. are left behind.

That said, this thread should be used for advertising other games...

That should be fine. Make a RTJ and I can add you and let you see the various threads. You could even take over one of the NPC's as a quick character. In saying that I don't see us starting for a while yet. Thanks.
