Zog the Faceless:
DM: to be clear, I'm proposing delaying actions so that the party acts in the order we want in the surprise round.
To clarify what Zog is asking: he's saying that all the melee types would delay their initiatives until after Agon, Gromley, Zog and anyone else who want to use ranged attacks do so. Keep in mind that in a surprise round you get exactly one action (Move, Minor or Standard) and you can't use an Action Point, so choose wisely.
Do you all want to follow Zog's proposal or just let initiatives fall organically? The disadvantage of delaying 'til after the casters is that the enemies (some or all) may go before you, and I'm not rolling their initiative until later, so we won't know until then :-)
