The party continues pounding on the titan. For a moment it seems inclined to stay under Gromley’s control—but then it suddenly comes to its senses. It roars and another cascade of lightning pours from the sky on the people around him. The lightning shocks Harald and Martha. He then lashes out madly at the party, but finds only Harald with his flailing hand, smacking him further. The unlucky Harald then finds himself struck with lightning yet again!

He bellows in incoherent rage. It is strange that something this old and powerful can be this mutely angry, but yet that seems to be all this primordial titan is capable of!

All the party members hit the titan. Martha, Harald, Daratheir and Sonliin heal from hitting the titan thanks to Spirit of Healing. The titan is bloodied.

The titan uses a special ability to save against all conditions at the start of the round, including those that don’t normally offer a save, and he makes it, shaking off Sudden Control. He does his Close Burst 10 attack, missing Sonliin and Darratheir but hitting Martha and Harald for 35 hp lightning and thunder each. He then spends his last Action Point to deliver a slam attack on all four nearby foes, but unluckily hits only Harald for 24 hp. He also gets a bonus lightning close burst attack as part of the same attack (not triggering Sonliin’s mark) for 19 more lightning on Harald.

The aura is very much still up. Harald, Martha, Darratheir and Sonliin all take 15 damage for starting their turn in it.

All PCs are up!

EVERYONE NOTE THE AURA:
Aura 10 around the titan; any creature that enters or begins its turn in the aura takes 15 lightning and thunder damage; creatures other than Nakheten treat the area within the aura as difficult terrain and cannot fly.

REMEMBER THE DIFFICULT TERRAIN FROM ABOVE WHEN MOVING

Terrain Details:
Illumination: While the dense, black clouds othe raging storm block out the sunlight that blankets Hestavar, the near constant flashes of lightning provide a harsh, flickering equivalent to Bright light.
Wall of Water:  The roaring wall of water churns about Nekheten’s prison, driven by the titan’s fury. Nekheten, contained by the power of the seal, cannot pass or be forced to pass the standing stones and enter the water. Characters that enter the churning wall for any reason take 3d10 damage, are slid 6 squares clockwise around the edge of the wall, and are knocked prone in a square adjacent to the wall.
Standing Stones:  Each of these riblike spurs of stone bears an engraved symbol of Erathis, Ioun, or Pelor upon its surface.
Seal:  The dull metal seal embedded in Nekheten’s chest is impervious to damage while the titan lives.

Zog keeps blasting away, stepping forward to release his lightning and then flying back again out of the edge of the storm...

Wash rinse repeat. Reflex 47 for 66 hp before resistance. Elemental escalation's 2/4.

Agon added his own blast of electricity to the fray. It seemed very little, compared to the maelstrom the Titan was putting out.

Harald gritted his teeth as he stood, proud and stalward, amidst the storm and lightning.

"Ye're no' gonna scare me aff, ya big numpty!  Take that!"

With that he hammered his axe into the titan's side once more.


Since we have just reached a milestone Harald can use Undying STamina to recover 3 surges.

Martha moves forward and raises her blade. It coruscates with radiant energy, fizzing when the Titan's lightening hits it, the opposed elemental energies reacting. She channels her anger into that blade, and she lets it out with a bellow at the monster.

Despite being able to evade most of the titan's attack, Darratheir was still bothered by this constant storm surrounding the massive guardian. Seeing as their foe seemed to suffer a lot from their attack, the Dragonborn gave him no time to recover, he pounded him with his blade, trying to inflict as much damage as he could.

Standard action: Rage Strike (Expend Thunderfury Rage) - 43 vs AC for 60 damage + 3 bonus damage because Titan is already prone for a total of 63 damage.
I used 2 bennies this time.
Thanks Martha but I will wait a bit more before healing.

Another blast of lightning erupted from Sonliin before the storm that he summoned died down, lashing at the Titan. "Keep hammering him!" he shouted over the winds

OOC:Thunderwave on Titan Hit Fort 41 for 51 damage (Not counting any bonus for flanking, other effects, etc.)

Harald only spends 2 surges and goes to max hp.
That leaves him with 11/14 surges

Gromley calls down the mindfire, but wonders if he should bother given all the other suffering the Titan was enduring right now...

Zog’s blast wears down the titan a bit; Agon’s blast of lightning seems to have no effect, but his magic missiles definitely do. Likewise, Sonliin’s blast does less damage than he’d like, being thunder. Gromley’s mental attack does not seem to bother the titan. Everyone else simply inflicts pain on the ancient being. It finally staggers to its feet and unleashes a howling wind that batters the party. Darratheir and Sonliin bear the brunt, both being hurled back into the swirl of water around this area! Both are buffeted and thrown further and finally deposited back inside a moment later.

Everyone hits except Gromley; the giant’s resistance to lightning reduces damage. Sonliin's attack ignores resistances due to his mark. Titan stands. (He paid for not doing so last round, thanks to Darratheir.) He recharged his Howling Winds power, so close burst 5 attack on Darratheir, Harald, Martha and Sonliin. He spends two bennies to hit Darratheir and Sonliin for 29 thunder damage and push each of them into the wall of water. Each takes an additional 24 hp, are slid 6 squares in the water clockwise and are deposited in their current positions, prone.

Titan is still blind and grants CA.

All PCs are up!

Gromley uses his awareness to get closer, and proceeds to send a space warp under Darratheir's prone form, transporting him closer to his target. For when he rises and choose to strike back at his foe.

Sonliin stood back up, not bothering to brush the dirt off and smiled. "Come over here so I can smack you good!" he said as a wave of magic drew the titan towards him.

Darratheir nodded at both Gromley and Sonliin when they helped him get close to the titan without a single effort. He then stood up and raised his head to look at the creature. "How dare you ? I'm not a toy you can throw away like garbage !" The frustration was growing even more within the Dragonborn and as he pounded the titan with yet another attack, the creature felt prone once again, only to see the anger on Darratheir's face.

Standard action: Berserker's Shout. 48 vs AC for 47 damage. The titan is also prone and takes -5 penalty to attack roll UEONT.

Agon's cloak whipped around him in the storm, and he held on to his hat with one hand while directing bolt of energy with the other.  Now he felt, rather than heard, the immense tornado rumble of the elemental, and felt a hint of fear.

Once more hHarald charged in on the titan.  Battered as he was by the storm around his target he still managed a crashing blow.

Zog continues blasting, for his part, springing forward and then flying backward when his lightning blast hits the titan again. He watches it with a mixture of fascination, seriousness and regret as he tries to slay it...

Solid hit for another 66 hp before resistances. Another use of Elemental Escalation.

Gormley’s psionic power relocates his ally quickly and efficiently. The party then pounds on the titan again. With astonishing resilience, the titan fights on; it stands from its fallen position and lashes out blindly at everyone nearby; he manages to hit Martha with a glancing blow. He then calls lightning on the spot that he hit and Martha feels a nasty shock from a lightning bolt that would kill a normal person.

Yep, everyone hits the titan. It’s still bloodied! And blind. And penalties to hit. At least it gets to stand up.

It attacks all PCs in melee reach; even with -5 penalty (which does not stack with blinded effect) he hits Martha doing 28 hp damage. He then calls lightning on Martha and, again, somehow hits despite the -5 to hit, doing 35 lightning damage.

All PCs are up! Everyone within 10 squares takes 15 damage, which includes Agon and Zog this round. Darratheir, Martha and Sonliin are bloodied, along with the titan.

Theses walls of water were too small, and Agon's spells weren't hitting hard enough. He just hoped the warriors could block the the Titan in a far corner.

After falling prone himself once again, Darratheir started to feel like he was somehow dancing with the titan. And that wasn't to the taste of the Dragonborn. At all. So the Barbarian concentrated on his most hard memory and from his body erupted a frightful spirit that flew right in the titan's head. "Now, you will stay down !"

Standard Action: Wave of Terror - 44 vs Will. 18 damage if hit and the titan falls prone. On top of that, he can't stand if I'm next to him UEONT.

Trying to get the titan squashed in by the surrounding water, Harald swung axe and shield together to try to shift the monster.  Thankfully he did manage.  The prone creature was moved a little closer to the wall of water.

As the storm around the titan rose, the tattoo that Sonliin has on his right arm faded away as it caused his arm to strike out, hitting the titan before a blast of flame erupted from the paladin/wizard.
