Re: OOC #3

Okay, folks, to clarify something:

When you post your turn, post as much detail as you can. If you are moving, state if you are single or double moving. If you are readying an action, specify the ability used, the trigger and post the appropriate rolls.

One-liners in OOC for a round's actions will not be interpreted in your favor :-)

Re: OOC #3

Also, to further clarify: there is no need to use a move action in this first round to be where you are. If you want to reposition your mini. If you don't want to do anything else, please revise your turn to Delay.

Gromley's already done so--Sonliin and Darratheir, PM me when you do if that's what you want to do.

Re: OOC #3

Hey there American friends!

As I said a few weeks ago, I'm planning to come to the USA (East coast) next year and I'm starting to prepare the whole trip.

The current plan is to land in New York (Or close to it), attend to Wrestlemania and maybe spend a day or two in the Big Apple. Next, a car trip (Or maybe plane if this is cheaper) toward the South in direction of Orlando where I will spend another day or two at Disney World.

If you have any tips that could help me during this vacations, they would be welcome. Things like the best way / place to rent a car, things to know about hotels for example. Any little things that could be classified as "common knowledge" for someone born in the US but that could sounds "weird" to anyone coming from somewhere else.

We can do this via PM so we don't pollute this place. :)

Re: OOC #3

@Gromley: I will first attend to Wrestlemania that will take place in MetLife Stadium, New Jersey. Then, I'm not sure what I want to do yet. Probably visit the Statue of Liberty and, for sure, visit the Nintendo Store (That's for the geek in me). :D
Other than that, I'm open to suggestion. I'm not especially looking for the obvious "tourist trap" so if you know good places that are less known, that would be nice. :)

@Sonliin: After seeing the price of a car rent to make the trip, I think I will probably take the plane or maybe the bus. What would be the best (And cheapest) for a NYC - Orlando travel? Good point for the plane is that it's fast and a one-time jump between the two cities. Good point for the bus is that I can spend a night somewhere in between and visit something (Or someone) on my way to the south.

I don't know yet if I will spend some time in Orlando other than the time I will spend at Disney World. I plan to travel next year early in April so I'm starting early planning. :)
My wife and I are doing this travel to celebrate our 10 years in couple so we will break our piggy-bank a bit. :P

Well, the Complete Strategist is on 11 east 33rd street. Manhattan's longest running gaming store.

Forbidden Planet-832 Broadway, New York, NY 10003-NYC's most well known comic store.

Runner up and easier to get to is Midtown comics, 200 W. 40th Street (corner of 7th Ave) · New York, NY 10018.

I highly recommend the Natural History museum and planetarium on the upper west side, 81st and Central Park west.

Gaming and Comics store, that's a good idea. At least to see how it feels to stay in this kind of store for a moment even if I don't buy anything.

Also, good point about the Natural History museum and planetarium. I might add that to the list because this is the kind of places that interest us. :)

Wow, that is still open? I went there when I visited NYC in 1983. Walked from the NYC Bus terminal. There was a Complete Strategist in Davie, Florida in the early 80's or so that is no longer there.

New York Museums are world class.  On rough NYC-Florida axis, the only places that's absolutely worth stopping is Washington D.C.  For example, if you're into planes the Air and Space museum is literally out of this world (though the USS Intrepid is in New York, and Fantasy of Flight is an hour outside Orlando).  The rest is a lot of suburbia and hills.  Don't get me wrong, it's a fine place to live (I live there), but I wouldn't spend time seeing it.

Bus travel in the US is often aggressively budget. For NYC-DC, the train is an option (I believe Acela is the nicest one), and the train stations are more centrally located than either airport. Otherwise, passenger trains in the US are very spotty. Best to fly-and remember America is big. NYC-Orlando is 1070 miles.
