Re: OOC #3

Thanks Agon I just emailed you Martha. I find it really funny to be emailing our characters, but whatever.

Martha, can you refresh my memory as to your hatred of Dragons please? (rather than digging through 6k+ of messages)

Re: OOC #3

I think it's in my character description. I built her as a cleric-avenger who has focused all her energy on killing Tiamat, and any other dragons who get in her way.

Re: OOC #3

I have to say I like this twist--it puts the characters at the center of shaping the universe. Do any of you have that epic destiny where you become a god?

Re: OOC #3

I wasn't expecting that my decision would lead to such turnaround. That's great indeed.
As for Darratheir, he will become a spirit at his death. Either of benevolence or fury depending on the state of the world. But not a god. However, that would have been a great plot for another Dragonborn character I have whose Epic Destiny is to become an Avatar of Io.

Re: OOC #3

Harald is The Undying Warrior.  Or will be if he survives to the end.  He could become a god or could just spend eternity dicing with Tymora.

Re: OOC #3

Even though I am not a big fan of 4th edition, I do like being able to play a paladin that's not Lawful Good. (Unaligned Paladin of Ioun)

Have to post to bump it to 667.

I have the 5th edition phb but not really played it. Will have to keep it in mind.

Re: OOC #3

What I tell people who don't like 4th edition is to play 5th edition. It is pretty much the answer to everything you ever wanted to fix about 4e.

I enjoy the tactical aspects of 4e the most, really. Some of the roleplay aspects can be strained with the heavy dependency on class roles.

Despite it being Christmas Eve, I am planning a substantial update for Monday morning.

Re: OOC #3

I would be the first to say that I am a big fan of 3.5/Pathfinder. Having played AD&D for decades, when 3rd came out, I was hesitant to change but after playing a module from the Dungeon, I was hooked.  I like to be able to customize a character rather than what 1st edition offered. With 4th, I am just not that big of a fan. Sonliin is based on a character that I played in Red Hand of Doom. Since they were good on Leaders and Strikers, I figured to go with a hybrid from the PHB III.

Giving you all until Friday to post any more questions. If you don't have any, post that IC as well. Silence means consent to move along Friday otherwise.

Re: OOC #3

Agon:
What secrets might Berath know?  A ghost of a paladin that had haunted Tiamat's keep for centuries?  Agon was itching to find out.  "The truth prevails where an army fails." Agon said. "We will not learn from Berath's mistakes."

Sonliin:
"Actually, one can learn a lot from failure. Did they have the battlefield against them? How powerful were the defenses? Thing's like that can be learned so one can avoid a repeat." Sonliin said.

Well, I made a rather silly typo.  Going to leave it there, as a remind of Agon's foolishness :)

We have an interesting collision coming:

Scourge of Io vs. Bonded of the Arrow of Fate.

This should be a hoot. :-)

Update tomorrow!
