Harald kills both nearby devils, so Sonliin takes a moment to catch his breath. Meanwhile, as one of the devils in the tentacle field is crushed, disintegrating into a puff of fell smoke, the one banished by Sonlin reappears.

D1 makes his saving throw vs. Sequester, returns. D4 dies.

X is Invisible.

I repeat: X is INVISIBLE. Anyone who attacks him like they can see him loses a Benny.

Gromley stares at the visible devil, causing it to fly back into the tentacle fields-stabbing into its wounded fellow as it lands. The tendrils proceeds to crush all those trapped there.

OOC:

Damage=23 on all targets with the following exceptions.

7 spends both actions trying to break free of the grabbing hand; his second move action succeeds. 7, 8 and 10 all make their saves vs. immobilized.

Zog points to the spot on the wall where the evil leader stopped. "You are a fool to face us," he says in a low tone. He points with his dagger and a blast of fire erupts where the enemy is. In addition, he is in the center of a zone burst 1 that does 6 fire to him if he finishes his turn in the zone.

Hit Fort 43 (or 46 if a Benn is needed) for 75 fire using Master's Surge, which uses Learned Boost but does't expend it.

20:31, Today: Zog the Faceless rolled 75 using 6d10+37 with rolls of 7,10,2,8,3,8.  Ignitiion damage + Learned Boost + Master's Surge.
20:30, Today: Zog the Faceless rolled 46 using 1d20+32 with rolls of 14.  re-rolling until 10 or better.

The invisible speaker’s voice cackles. “Zog the Faceless, you BURNED me. That’s impressive. I’ll deal with you in a minute. Gromley Underhill, I know you and your sneaky ways. Your little trap will not avail you any longer. Come to me, my brothers.”

One of the devils dies in the tentacles, but another rather abruptly teleports out of the tentacles, appearing next to the party, winking at Harald before breathing hellfire on most of the rest of the party.

Agon is quite sure that the new invisible enemy is enabling the foes to teleport somehow.

Then, out of nowhere, a figure that appears to be a giant quasit appears next to Zog. It stings Zog, who feels fire burn through his veins and lock up his legs. The same creature then vanishes in brimstone fire and does the same to Agon.  Adding insult to injury, the larger devil next to Agon hits the wizard, badly wounding him. The new devil cackles!

D13 dies at the start of his turn. D14 teleports out of the tentacle field and hits Zog and Sonliin for 22 fire each, and each loses any resistances until the end of D14’sNT. Zog and Sonliin are each bloodied. D14 makes his save vs. immobilized.

X teleports next to Zog as a move action. He then hits Zog with a sting for 20 hp and hits with a secondary attack for ongoing 15 fire and poison damage and target is immobilized (save ends both).. As a result of the same attack, he teleports next to Agon, hitting him for the same amount and effects, and grants D14 an MBA on Agon.

Harald and Sonliin, your moves! Also, Agon,  if you want to use an interrupt against either attack on you, say the word. Agon can also make an Arcana check.

"Now it is my turn and you will fail the Dragon Queen!" Sonlinn said as he started to glow. Pointing a claw at the large Quasit, it started to sparkle, just before a chromatic flash of bright light erupted from the dragon.

OOC:
Minor: Divine challenge X (Ignore Immunity/resistances)
Standard:Prismatic Spray. Full damage on X, 14 will ignore most of the fire damage.
Used a benny on X as I did not like the roll.
Very happy to see a crit so I get to spend a healing surge due to the Holy Avenger (Gain 39 Hp).

X takes 43 poison and is slowed, 43 fire and 15 ongoing fire, and is stunned, along with 21 radiant for the crit (107 damage total). Save needed for each effect. 14 is Poisoned for 33 damage/slowed, 35 fire (5 after resistance and nothing from the ongoing) and is stunned. Also save for each.

15:44, Today: Sonliin rolled 21 using 6d6 with rolls of 3,5,5,2,5,1.  Critical damage X radiant.

“Here goes fer broke” crowed Harald as he stomped across the field of play towards the newcomer.

A massive blow from his axe staggered the creature and knocked it back towards Gromley’s tentacle trap and then another massive blow propelled it even further, knocking it to the ground.

“And that’s fer you, ma wee friend!”



Standard:  Minotaur Charge.  Attack and push the quasit thing one square back towards the trap
Secondary attack: vs Fort (Crit!  But no damage).  Push it 3 squares as per map and knock prone.

The devil previously banished by Sonliin laughs out loud and teleports out of the field of tentacles and out of Agon’s grasping hand. He breathes hell-fire on the party, though he misses most of the party, singing the already-battered Zog and Sonliin. A tentacle still finds him and holds him, though.

D1 teleports next to Darratheir and breathes hellfire; he only hits Zog and Sonliin for 22 fire and all resistances are suppressed until end of his next turn.

Gromley commands his favorite target devil to kill his companion, which he does. Another is crushed by the tentacles, while yet another is crushed by Agon’s grasping hands.

Another of the devils teleports not once but twice to get out of the field of tentacles, landing smack next to Zog and leering at him.

D7 and D14 die. Because D7 died, Agon hit D8 instead, killing it. Agon, note that you did not use your Banish power as you killed the target.

D10 double moves, teleporting twice.

Looking around him, Darratheir didn't thought twice and he rushed toward the closest devil to try and end his life as soon as possible. In the same time, he couldn't stop but look at the latest entrant with a grin on the face as he was already imagining how he would kill it.

Zog, annoyed that a devil is threatening him, turns his ire on the devil that teleported next to him, flattening the devil with two lightning bolds delivered through his dagger.

Elemental Bolt + Learned Boost, hits for 65 lightning. AP, Elemental Bolt straight up, hits for 59 lightning. That should be just enough to finish #10.

Taking to the air, Sonliin landed near the remaining devil and leader. Pointing his claw at the leader, waves of energy struck the foe, stunning him and allowing the dragon to attack again. This time he reached out and lashed out at the leader with a claw, glancing him.


OOC:Move (Fly) to new location. Standard:Steal Time on X, hits 46 Will. Target is stunned until the end of my next turn. With the Standard that I get from ST, use overwhelming fervor to hit X (AC 45) for 36 damage (Wow, that was lousy). X is still marked by me.

Harald used the power of his dwarven throwers to hurl his axe at the trapped enemy.  Unfortunately his God was not with him.  The axe spun in the air and started to return to his hand without damaging his target.  But suddenly, as if by divine providence, it spun back to the target and bit deep.

Harald and Sonliin wound the last brazen devil and the leader respectively; the leader stands frozen in time. Even as he does, the portal starts to churn and turn, and turn multiple colors. Then, against all odds, a figure steps out…

D1 is crushed to death on his turn by the tentacles. Down to just X. For now :-)

Martha steps out of the portal, and looks around confused. 'Oh balls, I was hoping to emerge somewhere totally different', she curses. But she brightens up instantly when she sees her boys.

'Boys! In trouble is usual I see. Don't worry, Auntie Martha is back'.

A wave of healing radiates from each of her hands and envelops Zog and Agon.
