Re: In the City of the People of the Pit

In reply to Johan Stark (msg # 687):

After some fond farewells, your group, plus Rush and Lacuda, who has been loaded in
her bathtub onto Rush's platform/cart, all begin to make the ascent. Mythos the
artificer has reinforced the bolck and tackle setup, and installed some redundant
pulleys, and has built a fairly stable  platform that can lift six of you, or two
and the tub.
As you ascend, you can see the beams he set into the walls to support the lifting
mechanism, and he has expanded and framed the hole in the side of the dome i to a
full sized doorway with a gate. There are even locking bars to fix the platform in
place.

In reply to Gareth (msg # 690):

Gareth is an an arched sloping tunnel, about 3 yards high by four wide. To one side, sloping up, is a dimly seen massive porticullis. To the other direction is a sturdy looking dwarf wiith about eight kobolds, standing in front of an equally distant bronzework gate.

"This is the kind of quality  work you get to see when a dwarf is on
the job."

Re: In the City of the People of the Pit

In reply to Gareth (msg # 693):

Once down the smoothly paved part of the corridor, you come upon a kobold operated bronze and ironwork spiked gate, which they lower like a drawbridge.  The space beyond is very rough, with fresh signs of repair over an old collapse. This area soon leads to a wooden ramp over a rough cave, and down into more recent, and slightly damper construction.

You can hear the bustling sounds of kobolds in the near distance.

Re: In the City of the People of the Pit

In reply to Johan Stark (msg # 699):

Kobolds scatter as your group emerges, and heads up the ramp to the main hall.

The hall is filled with all manner of mercenaries, miscreants, mountbanks, and rogues. A large man of obvious ogrish lineage is talking with a woman directing kobolds to collect bowls. Beside a large fireplace, these vagabonds are lining up with empty bowls to enter the kitchen, and coming out the other side with full bowls and hunks of stale bread.
Above, on the balcony, you can see the small vendors at their stalls. This is the main hall of tbe guild.

Lacuda thrashes in her tub.
