The creature seems to realize its dead pet is next to its mouth... and begins to eat it.

Ulo steps back away from Darg giving him room to get up, "Johan, as Fenric and Hrunting keep say, these are not like you.  No 'soldiers', just creatures that eat everything else."

Johan readies shield and axe and steps forward to attack.

Stark stops his advance and takes a step backward... if there is no follow up, he takes more, slowly and on guard.

Sorsha start building up another lighting bolt.

Ulo backs away but begins dancing and chanting the same way she did seconds ago.

As the creature begins devouring it's "pet", Gorgath stops his assault and looks to Stark. Seeing him stop, the ogre does the same.

The angry mauve blotches settle back to grayish yellow as the creature eats it's  former friend, and the stump of its tentacle twitches  and starts to grow...

"Oh crap, its how it heals itself but eating, hit it hard" she fires her lighting bolt at it.

He slings a sunbolt at the creatures Neck this time.

Stark stops and watches, trying to gather his wits... Thought we were not attacking it?
