Stark feelt strange mounting the ramp, a little vertigo, perhaps, but it intensifies at the round entrance - which should be forward, but feels like... down.

Stark steps back and shakes his head as if to shake off cobwebs.

From your vantage point some ten yards up, the city seems to curve up and around you, as though it were built  on the sides of a bowl.

We seem to be at the bottom of this habitation center.

As you each climb, the vertigo strikes you, and the surrounding   city, which appeared fairly flat before, now
curves up and around you. The entrance tonthe pyramid tower
that is at the top of the ramp feels like it is straght down,
instead of being straight ahead.

The lightning briefly illuminates the curved obsidian
interior of the entry to the top of the pyramid. The space
is curved and has a spiral shape curling down toward the base
 of the pyramid.
