"You're no fun, Chye", Ales says, giving a mock pout for show.

"If you want to conceal the weapons, maybe I could do an illusion to hide them until we are at a point where we would have to use them.  However, that would be very taxing."

Re: In the Ninjas' Lair

"My magical skill is mainly in the elemental colleges; I have no means of concealment other than obscuration of an area with darkness or, when I learn the spell, smoke.

"I do think blocking off the chimney above the kitchen would add to the effectiveness of the nageteppo.  Chimneys draw smoke, when they work correctly, so at the least, blocking the chimney would prevent it drawing off the smoke from the nageteppo.  If there are other fireplaces or stoves connected to the same flue, it might distribute the smoke throughout the house.  Perhaps Iskander could go up while Airis goes down to the kitchens.

"I do not think we need conceal any weapons, possibly other than Jin's hungamunga.  Many people carry a staff as a walking stick or for defense, and weapons like knives and swords aren't uncommon in eating establishments."

Re: In the Ninjas' Lair

"You may be correct.  You and I might well be too well known within the Silver Jade Palace in any case.  However, the only weapon we likely need to conceal by illusion would be that one.  My whip is easily enough concealed on my person; the others' swords and such are not so distinctive.

"Is that a plan, then?  Airis enters the kitchens by stealth and sows nageteppo while Iskander closes the flue from the cooking stoves to keep the smoke in the house.  The rest of us enter through the dining room in the confusion, make our way to the casino where Airis and Iskander will join us, defeat the dragon men, break the coin room, and haul away as much coin as we can.

"I must visit the guild briefly, to maximize my stored energy, before we begin.  I drew a little from my power item when I greased the floor in the dining room, and cannot recharge it myself."

"I can do that, we'd best have somebody from the household stand by with a cart and horses, so we can not be caught floundering about, with heavy sacks of coin... that shouldn't be too hard."

"I am fine with that. I can sneak into the kitchen and toss the bombs. Though if Iskander blocks the chimney, it will not take long for it to back up. "

Chye bows himself out of the Daimyo's court, and heads for the guild. There, he retrieves his arms and armor, and equips for the raid. "Sayonara!"

Pay the usual price for re-equipping and we can start back in the Sneaking in and Silver Jade Palace Threads, probably  on page 2 if it isn't on the front page.

Re: In the Ninjas' Lair

Chye retrieves his stored armor, and collects his weapons. When he is equipped, he tries to find a reputable sahudese healer/apothecary on the way back, but having no such luck, he hurried back to meet the others. (He's traveling no non-sense, anything not practical, lute, etc. is secured at home.) 23:50, Today: Chye Isuel rolled 15 using 3d6.  area knowledge (sahudese healer/ apothecary) -13.
