Re: Broderick's Expedition

In reply to Broderick Leibert (msg # 175):

The passage continues, and ahead you can see a half rotted beam diagonally paced to brace the left hand wall. There seems to be some carving on the beam, which is secured by rusting iron spikes. Smasher needs a little assistance climing over

Ooc a Dx check to avoid getting stuck or collapsing the beam.

Re: Broderick's Expedition

Thats fortunate, as I was thinking it was some type of enchantments. If we pulled it out of the way do you think there'll be much damage to this section of the sewer.

"While perforce the automaton us too weighty and short
in the leg to clamber over the lower potion of the beam as
we might, my rough calculations indicate that he might crawl beneath the beam at its highest point on all fours.
I have significant reservatiobs about the continued
structural integrity of this wall, were this bracing beam to be compromised."

In reply to Ludlow the Munificent (msg # 182):

Broderick does a quick assessment of Smasher's girth and compates it to the angled beam. Agreeing that rhere appears to be sufficient space to allow him to do so. Instructing Smasher to do so the group msnages to pass the obstacle and continues along the passage.

Walking beside Broderick, Clair was directly behind Smasher. A scented kerchief held just below her chin assisted to stay the various odors that permeated the area.

Clarence swings in close behind, to keel some light ahead, with Ludlow,
Razakeel, and Charlene bringing up the rear. The passage continues along
the damaged wall, and other wooden beams are propping it up, although these are arranged lintel and plinth, like doorways instead of crosswise.

Moving beside Smasher Broderick  [Private to GM: positioning his pole at an angle with its end touch the ground. This way if there's a opening/drop in the floor he'll be able to tell] as the group continue along the passageway.

Broderie can feel irregularities in the flooring, but nothing pit like. Ahead, the sound of running water can be heard, and Clarence'so light reflects off a gate in the lefthand wall.

Adjusting her position to accomodate Smashers change in posture from standing to crawling and back to standing. Phylicity peeks over his shoulder scanning the passage ahead. Wall, roof wall, smelly water she quietly repeats several times as she lists the passageway. Changing this to include gate when she spots it.

In reply to Phylicity Pfaffingerh (msg # 190):

The gate seems to be of the same type the Slorn was at previously. The
lock looks easy, and beyond it is a very wet tunnel that scatters dancing
reflections from Clarence's light all around.

ooc I'm assuming we've walked over 1000'. If not could you provide a time approximation that we spent.

Great even more water thinks Broderick. Turning to the others. With all this water about this area won't do at all for a resupply point. We'll try the other direction. he informs.

Re: Broderick's Expedition

In reply to Broderick Leibert (msg # 194):

There is no sign of the slorn at this grate, only sewer water. It might be possible to get this gate open for smasher to attack the slorn from behind. Otherwise, you can see a right hand opening ahead along the passage you are in.

Re: Broderick's Expedition

In reply to Narrator (msg # 195):

Broderick considered this. Then decided it would be better to acquire two thrusting spears, and position Smasher with them near the grate and if the Slorn responded like it did earlier they could be thrust into it. Keeping a wary eye for movement the group quickly passed the grate, heading along the passageway.
