In reply to Dolpho Mercer (msg # 352):

Thank you Master Dolpho for sharing that and picking the lock. Judging by the amount of flooding we've encountered so far I'd say that's quite an effective means of preventing further flooding. Tempted as he is to explore below Broderick decides mapping this level takes precedence. When the area has been mapped they continuing along the  main passage they had been mapping.

Broderick smiled contently as the group moved along the passageway. He wondered how large and deep this complex actually was.

Ahead is a four way intersection.  There are signs of counterbracing here where there are deep cracks in floor, ceiling  and wall. Unlike the wet tunnel, the braces are not wood, but peculiar shiny black stone that appears to be seamless.

The passage continues on, and gradually the tilework becomes more intact,
with a zigzag frieze in red and white mosaic.  Gradually, you come to another gate, this one made of a glossy dark bronze like metal, and set
Into more of that shiny black stone.  Faint runes are etched into the gate, and no keyhole is visible.

Noting the improvement in the area Broderick suspects this is a more frequently used thus maintained location. This looks interesting Master Ludlow would you have an inkling what the runes would be or perhaps even say

Broderick nods Thank you Master Ludlow, a magical lock. this isn't worth the risk to attempt to circumvent He or they could always do so later if the incentive were right. Does the layout of the tiles remind anyone of any specific guild or body. This would be useful to know.

Cautiously make our way in that direction. Mistress Phylicity could you glide ahead a little and see if the source of that light appears to be hostile.

This corridor has very uneven flooring, with counterbracing of that
strange black stone in the areas where the cracking in the walls and
ceiling are 5he worst. Ahead is a bronze faced door. The door has a
small peephole sized door, and to either side of the gate is a torch
in a holder.

In reply to Broderick Leibert (msg # 375):

After reviewing myy maps, i was holding it with the wrong facing. I will adjust the directions.  Never mind the guild description; that is in the reverse direction...  this is the revised map. The guild is not immediately near... the area down that corridor is an area with many repairs and counterbraces.

https://drive.google.com/file/...Gc/view?usp=drivesdk

The guild, if your recollection of twists and turns ought be in the lower right of the map. The distance between the corridor near the well door (which you did not enter) should lead that way. The corridor between the well and the wfour way intersection is almost 200 yards long.

Continue along the passage heading left (north), if they come to a crossroads continue straight through, if they find a T or other type of intersection take the left branch.
