The witch was sent by DuClair, and it could have been any adventurer that he sent. Word is that you attacked them first, and if you had done that with us, the result may have been similar, I don't know. But if you have an issue, it should be with DuClair and him alone. Only a fool blames the tool for the damage it caused...it was the one who directed the tool you need to have issue with, and the best way to do that is to join the guild and turn the guild against him. Rafik is wearing a guild badge, suggesting that he has already joined. Indeed, he was greeted by McCain when Broderick had passed him at the guild entrance, and he was eating in the guild hall when the rest of you encountered him.

Realising the Troll was sporting a badge of guild rank. Broderick glanced apologetically at the others, for also leading them to the wrong conclusion about the Trolls membership. Master Rafic, do pardon my oversight and error, I assumed from your comments that you were not a Guilds member. Having just now noticed that you are a Guild Member. Broderick declares indicating the Badge he had noticed. As such, would I be correct to surmise, you have not been able to Pursue your grievances, at the loss of your kin, through Guild Channels? Would any of these also have been Guild Members.
