In reply to Carruthers (msg # 77):

Seeing Carruthers delima Brodetick assisted their faithfull retainer, by brushing away the rats clinging to the fellows back. As they fell Broderick stepped in those he could crushing a few before they could move. Broderick then continued weaved about between Clair and the rats stabbing at the swarm. Every second the group effectively killed around six rats be that with spell, weight or weapon. The tally increasing yet the swarm did not appear to lessen.

Re: Broderick's Expedition

Quickly folks across the wall Broderick prompts ushering Clair towards the breach. Smasher roll across the rats like before On reaching the breach he helps Clair across then takes a defensive position while the others slip over the rubble. Once everyone is across he clambers across the wall and gets Smasher to joins them.

You are now in a long room, twenty yards by six, with a rubble filled trench down the middle, and a series of bricked
over arches on either side and a metal gate at the far end.

Re: Broderick's Expedition

Broderick agrees with the others comments; glancing back the way they came. Thrusting his rapier through two more rats he moves to the half wall and peers in the direction the swarm came from, and flicks the dead bodies off the blade towards the collapsed wall.

Re: Broderick's Expedition

Great... out of a frypan into the fire Broderick mumbled. He hoped that whatever had driven the rats out of the wall wasn't the same or worse that whatever had them scatter now. Quickly getting the group together away from both the hole and anything that may come through the breach they made. Master Dolpho do you think you can get the gate open allowing us to slip through before whatever else is here surfaces Broderick prompts. He doesn't want the group to be caught in an location where their line of retreat is blocked and they have to contend with three threats.

ooc rats, beasty in the rubble and possible beasty from the wall
