With the desire to save resources eclipsed by the desire to end this ridiculous situation, Darius took a step in front of the take. A word of power, and a small ball of light appeared in his right hand - at least, for those not magically-gifted. Those with mage sight found almost too bright to look straight at...

Grimaldi rushed forwards, and with a well aimed thrust, drove his estoc into the beast's head, through the bars.

Grimaldi pulled his tri-sided spike of a blade, free from the head and shook off any bits of grue, before returning it to it's scabbard.

The Slorn's demise put an end to the contract, save their return to the Guild.
Well done Masters, I thank those of you who are the true Professionals for that. Does anyone wish a trophy from this creature? If not we shall head back.

"It will be you I will be reporting, fool. You needlessly endangered the group because of your stubborn foolishness. If we had not been able to kill it quickly, it could have turned on us and inflicted casualties, casualties you could have avoided. You were lucky, but not wise. But fear not, your foolishness will be reported to the guild, so that future possible companions can be warned of how you stand in the way of the safety of your own members and do nothing when it becomes clear plans must adapt. I will be glad to report what has happened, and call upon witnesses if necessary.
