Re: Broderick's Expedition
In reply to Broderick Leibert (msg # 132):
The passage outside is one of the wider conduits, some four
yards wide and three yards high, in a steeply arched vault.
Fairly smooth slabs of stone or poured concrete make up the
flooring, with a trench about a foot wide and deep on either
side, against the walls. The walls were once plastered over
and set with a frieze of colored tile at shoulder height, but
much of the tile and plaster alike are gone, baring the
stone walls in their roughness. The conduit heads to the
left and also to the right, where presumably, the rats came ftom.
