OOC: Fortunately, I'm not a fanatical vegan sort.  I'm under a vow to eat no meat, but it doesn't cover cheese, eggs, milk, etc.  Now, if someone points out meat in the hot brown, I'll have to either spend time picking it out, or quit eating that...

He removed his spectacles, polished them on the velvet sleeve of his tunic, then returned them to his face. "Did the kobolds speak to what the ogres were doing in the cellars before they fled?"

Ardenas leans over to Oly and very quietly comments, "Don't we have ogres in the Guild?  I'm almost sure I've seen one or two around here."

"It's never too late," Mancini said. "The Ogres may be wanderers who got lost and ended up in your cellar. Or they could be persuaded to leave. But that only deals with the symptom... your problem is however they got in in the first place. Why don't I organize an expedition down below to see what I can discover? Track the problem to its source, perhaps find a solution."

Ardenas quickly swallows his latest bite of lentil stew before speaking up.

"My friends and I have just finished a job, we might be willing to check for undesired entrances, for the right price."

"Guild wages are always fair... Ardenas, was it? You and your friends are welcome to apply should recruitment for an expedition be warranted. Eagerness is a good trait."

After seeing Lamont out, Mancini hastened to pass the word along to Rigo.

Mancini paused and had a brief word with Oly.

Oly just nods his understanding... Him doo as he points a thumb at Ardenas.

"Mancini's got a very good point.  We should drop by the arena and see if there are any ogres scheduled to fight soon.  Might be useful to know more about them, since I have my doubts whether Vilgar is typical, and that half-naked female we saw in the Guild a while back probably isn't, either."

At the moment, the arena is occupied by the orcs tbe guild uses as stand ins for fies on the proficiency runs. They have a recreational jugga league, unaffiliated with Khrosh's youngsters. The guild is a littme short on ogres, having as members currently in tbe city, the modestly dressed but immodestly large Elga the Enormous, and the two ogrekin Vimgar and Huey. Gorgoth and Jednessa the bare chested are currently away on expeditions.
