Malga'Mar has the illuminated lives of the saints, in an ornate leather and wood cover with brass fittings. The other holy book is gilded, and set with chabucon gemstones, and has gilt edged pages, but you haven't searched for that one yet.

Ok, so has Christine recovered her strength yet? The reflection on what else is needed is good, and helps us to refocus, but we will still need to get it. As I understand, Jednessa and someone else(?) are still upstairs, Christine and Mal are at the bottom of the stairs, and Haskell and Azrael and Stenet are going on ahead. Right?

Azrael, Walter Goldman and Jednessa are upstairs.

Jednesa turns to look the direction Azrael indicated and readies her mace/axe (but remains seated).

OOC:  One of the books, I have in my bag.  I have the staff as well.  The bells, holy symbol, and illuminated manuscript I have used Seeker to gain clues about.  Forgive me, but I do not remember which book is still left.

Malga'Mar gets a clear picture of the book, patially wrapped in dirty linen, inside a pentacle within a circle scratched into stone, writ round with evil runes that hurt his head as he focuses on it... it seems the demons could not directly attack it, so they trapped it.

Not really.  Dareos (while standing downstairs, down a hall, next to Christine) suggested she keep her gear with her (so it wouldn't get lost).  Unfortunately... Jednesa was upstairs, out in the hall (so it's highly unlikely she even heard him).  Also she has probably completely forgotten about the little pouch Christine asked her to "keep safe" (Jednesa missed that whole conversation about what was in the pouch, she was outside happily pushing down a wood crib).

Ogres are not known for being strong in the brains department.

 Speaking to Malgamar  Perhaps we should all go together, assuming that Jednessa can fit thru' the tunnels. I sensed a spirit of some sort down at the end of the hallway.

Malga'mar seems obviously much more comfortable with the suggestion from Azrael. His broad shoulders slump into a relaxed pose and he begins to move toward Jednesa.

"Walter is upstairs," the large wizard says as he walks; "he will help look after her."

The only real difficulty Jednesa has is getting down the narrow stairs and through the door. The corridor you are all in looks to fit her bulk a little easier.

OOC:  Kinda.  She can poke with her axe/mace... inefficiently (I'd call it a baton type for that).  And her arms ain't broke, but grabbing another set of wights would be a non-starter unless it were an emergency.

But for real damage, she needs about 3-4 yards clearance (her width plus the mace's reach).

She glances worriedly to the door of the room she barricaded off.

Yes, get your things first, we will wait.  He steps into the hall and looks toward where he sensed something.

"OH NO!"

She turns and hurriedly shoves the door open (as though the bed/barricade were no hindrance at all), pulls out her harness and checks to make sure everything is still there.

She sighs happily, "Okay, ghost not get anything", and follows them down.




OOC:  00:21, Today: Jednesa rolled 7 using 3d6.  Escape 14; squeezing down the stairs into the corridor below.

I presume she'll be at the back of the group?  If so she'll be crouch walking backwards dragging her harness (and pouches, etc) and keeping an eye out for enemies from behind.
