OOC: The wights are 4 yards from Christine?

Seemingly unharmed, Jednesa continues waiting.



OOC:  If she defends, she loses the ability to All-Out Attack from the Wait...
 I figure they'll run out of Doomchildren before Jednesa runs out of patience.

The wight wrapped in the burning snake collapses. The other one tries beating out the blue flames, but everything it touches including tbe wall, start to burn.

Jednesa lunges forward suddenly taking two steps and swinging in a low long arc at the not-burning wight.




OCC:  All-Out Attack (Long), Moving 2 hexes then attack at Reach 3.

10:02, Today: Jednesa rolled 12 using 3d6.  Axe/Mace 13, Lunging attack at wight.

10:03, Today: Jednesa rolled 23 using 5d6+4.  Damage for Wight, reduced by Maneuver.

OH... and as per usual after being hit by a burning exploding Doomchild... she might be on fire?

Reroll that at Thrust+2/ crush damage due to the impossibility of getting a swing with that thing.

Which of the two do you strike? The one with moving red flames or the one with blue?

Jednesa is blocking the corridor completely. From the sneezes, there is at least one other doomchild than the one that Haskell just finished drowning.


Jednesa, not declaring which one she struck, has struck the one with blue flames, knocking it back, and setting her maul on fire!

As you back out, you notice that your obsidial headed maul is burning with blue flame! This is not going to go well for the leather straps holding it in place!

She turns and smashes it down into/through a barrel hoping to extinguish it.

But the alchohol content of that cask is enough that blue flames

She pulls it out of the cask.  If it's still burning, she'll put it on the floor and try patting it out, or scooping dirt (if the floor is dirt) over it.

Stenet was still heading to the archway Jednesa attacked the wights through, if he's close enough by now, he'll take a defensive position between it and Christine (or at least near).

Christine flings her fireball at the last wight standing.

"Stenet, I can still hear another Doombrat nearby. Unless you can Dispel Magic, please deal with him so I can try to deal with this burning weapon. Only Essential water or Dispel Magic can negate Essential Fire, so Jednessa, please don't charge forward when you see my fire magic have unusual effects next time."

Christine tries several time to create Essential water, but cannot succeed in doing so, the water being evaporated by the magic flame.

[Private to GM: Fireball attack, 9 under skill, 3 damage if not dodged. Create water needs to be 6 or less for essential water, all between 12 and 9, so succeeded for normal water, but not essential water.]

Both monks appear to be burned down to oddly animate blackened bone, and they are still standing, although wreathed in flame. One in blue, essential fire, the other in a sort of lesser elemental, a flame snake.

A critical success on extinguish fire might get you some traction...

Unfortunately Extinguish fire costs more fp to cast than create water, where a critical success would give essential water, that would also solve the problem. But Christine lacks the FP to keep casting even that!

Anyone else know Dispel Magic?
