Re: In the Defiled Sanctuary

In reply to Jednesa (msg # 532):

The chest opened easily, and is stacked full of prepared torches, with a chained flint and steel stapled to one side of the inner part of the chest. There are also a number of small tallow candles, which have unfortunately all melded into a solid mass. There are traces of candle wax
At the base of the statue, but they seem especially  smeared with filth...
Perhaps the demons were not fond of them?

In reply to Narrator (msg # 533):

Christine will create water at the roof above the statue so it falls down over it and washes it.

[Private to GM: Create water, rolled 3 under skill, 1 gallon, cost 1 fp after high skill applied.]

Re: In the Defiled Sanctuary

Upon seeing the chest's contents he grumbles a bit and let's the lid drop.

"Nothin of value.  Unless we got space on the cart when we leave, torches ain't got much resell."

He'll head back to where Haskell is keeping watch and resume leading into the unknown.

In reply to Christine Bjorn (msg # 536):

The water washes a good amount ofvthe filth away...about two more gallons abd maybe a vial of holy water ought do the trick.

The candles might need to be cut apart. Who is handling them?

Safe to assume half an hour for a holy person to put the candles back? Also, how big is this hallway?

In reply to Christine Bjorn (msg # 543):

More like ten minutes. The hallway is about 3 yards wide and high., enough for Jednesa to move about if hunched over. It is very long, longer than torchy's light extends.

Who is checking the candles?

"Up to you, but I really need to recover my strength before I can support you. Why don't you take my little fiery friend and have a look around, but return with him if there are problems. In the meantime, is there any priest who can replace these candles?"

She intructs the fire elemental to follow Stenets directions in everything.

As Jednesa exposes herself, I avert my eyes.
[Private to GM: 13:11, Today: Dareos Madrigar rolled 10 using 3d6. IQ 14 -1.]
I hurriedly regather my things and head down the stairs and find Christina.

"Please accept my apologies.  My commune with Sethygg often dulls my senses until I return."

I smile and then slightly bow my head with my eyes closed.

"Now, let's see about these arrangements."

The tstue, noe rinsed of filth, needs a splash of holy water and there is a block of candkes that could be cut down for use.

Re: In the Defiled Sanctuary

Satisfied nothing untoward had occurred upstairs, Stenet returns to Haskell and gives him the old 'you ready nod?'.  If Haskell nods his assent Stenet will advance down the corridor confidently.

OOC:  19:02, Today: Stenet Fjall rolled 12 using 3d6.  Perception 12, moving down the corridor without spending any extra time [frivolously searching for traps or anything].

Christine Bjorn:
"I worry about Jednessa in these cramped quarters... but if she stay above, who can stay with her?"

Walter and Azrael are still upstairs.  So plenty of intellect and common sense.
