The hallway is narrow enough to prevent any other access, waiting on Mal.

The ogrekin stabs again with the crozier, and the burnt wight falls and crumbles to dust.

I nonchalantly (as if I'm not handling something that resembles a child I just drowned) carry the brat by it's ankle toward Jednesa.

"This seems inefficient, but you're the strategist and pyromancer, so you know more about exploding beasties than I."

We still have not found the source of the doombrats yet...so we need to stay on alert and give these two space to focus on finishing these things. Can we check the rest of the room?"

Haskell heads up the tunnel to where Malga'Mar has the remaining charred wight pinned with the crozier, and takes a whack at it. A hissing sound can be heard...

Meanwhile, anyone with connoisseur: beverages, merchant -4 or carousing -3, bartending, or IQ-5 can attempt to identify vintages of unusual or valuable nature

Stenet steps out of the way for Haskell, but stays close to jump back in or move to defend if necessary.

Jednesa hefts the soggy Doomchild and moves an aisle down towards the middle of the room to keep an eye out.

The other ogre habs at the wight with the crozier and it crumbles away.
"The passage is clear."

"Right. If the two ogres can secure any new entrances, while the rest of us can make sure the room is clear. Throw that thing at the first sign of trouble, Nessy."

She starts sweeping the room.

I wipe my glove on my pantleg, trying to get some of the smell from my hand as I turn and see which way Christine went and head for a corner we haven't checked yet.

I think out loud, not specifically at anyone.

"I presume doombrats aren't really children of some other type of demon even though they're the size of children. I don't think I could drown another one if I thought they were actually children."

I check my demon bane candle to feel how much is left.

"Since they seem to be created by demons in a ceremony that seems to require digits from humans, I think that children is just referring to their size and appearance. In our experience, they are every bit as evil as any other demon."

There is an arch far to the right, with a
Double door, and the one the wights came from. It is wide enough to roll a barrel in, but not much more.

Assuming the double door is closed Christine will head to the door the wights came through.

Stenet stays close enough to Christine to step in should something jump out and attack her.
