Re: In the Lich's tomb

In reply to Kirpich Rockson (msg # 829):

The ruins of the former stronghold are merely a blasted heath covered with rubble and bits of bone that is barren and several hundred yards wide. There is little cover beyond this wall until you get to the treeline.

On the other hand, Kalvo's people are expecting you from below and have only one archer...

Syvanus stops and comes back to the wall, looks both ways to see which offers more cover as you move along it and starts going that way.

Snorri puts his eye to a crack in the masonry.

"We have Kalvo, still with his wrist splinted, and he has a
bad leg too. Then there is Osvaldo, he's the big bald one, bad business
he is, Pierre, one with the scar and scruffy beard, an easier fight
there, that one in the robe I don't  know, but those four Ruffians were
the bandits we met before... only one has a bow is that woman,
And that skinchanging lion is with them. We are six against 8, but we may have surprise."

I was hoping to get a coordinated volley...  Syvanus is shooting at the robed figure... I believe Danos is as well.

19:04, Today: Syvanus rolled 6 using 1d6+1.  Arrow damage - Imp.

Re: In the Lich's tomb

Danos surveys the targets with his telescopic vision.

"Syvanus and I will fire at the robed figure. Stringfellow, you take the archer. Kirpich, try for the skinchanger - he's going to be tough and we should see if we can bring him down from a distance.

"On my mark, we will all take aim. Then on the count of three, we all loose at once."

If everyone agrees, Danos takes a position, and aims for three as many seconds as Kirpich needs, seconds counting out loud to 3 before firing.

11:17, Today: Danos rolled 10 using 3d6.  Bow to Robed figure - 18 + 3 Acc + 2 Aim -3 vitals = 20 - ? range (w Telescopic vision).
11:18, Today: Danos rolled 8 using 1d6+2.  arrow damage.

In reply to Danos (msg # 849):

...and fire when told. He will ask for a few extra seconds to increase the spell and aim though.

[Private to GM: and most likely miss, unless SM+1 or more!

No, wait, with aiming, the spell has Acc: 2, so aiming while he waits will give him +2, making it a hit! If he has time to aim, he will put an extra 2 points into the spell, given Danos words. Assuming they wait long enough for extra time, that can be an additional +2, +1 for determine, so +5, hits by 4! Damage 22 cr, torso.

The two arrows buried in the spellcaster knock him straight off his horse.

Ludmilla cries out as she is struck by an arrow, and Monorith is knocked flat by the stone missile.
