His face has the momentary look of 'just what kind of an idiot am I speaking with', then he nods and adopts a neutral aspect.

"Ya negotiate who ya want buy from or t'ey agent.  We run informally, no contractual agent or group positions, though Meistr Zideqick is consensually t'e leader... an Nodwin don't got no map.  Ya want map from one o' us, ya talkin Feistres Lemru," he nods towards the Sorceress, "or me.  I figure ya want t'e good map, no offense Jocelyn, so I step up.  Which don't say that Nodwin, Brodak, Mario, or Mellarill," he indicates each in turn, "can't negotiate to sell ya a map... but t'ey ain't got 'em."

He turns to Nodwin, "I gonna have fix that.  Y'all need maps, jus incase."

He turns back to Broderick and doffs his glove extending his hand to shake, both guild rings (Adventurer and Sage) visible to the observant, "Jareth Mooncalled, Sage an Adventurer."

I'm going by the rates in DF 1, 4 and 8...  which are very close to each other.  Standard map of an "area" is $100.

Broderick is agreeable to Negotiating on the fly, with the additional manpower they are better equipped to handle any threat. Certainly, Could I view your map or maps for appraisal. Their team joined this one and they head in the direction the other team is going.

Alighting on Smashers backpack she peered over his shoulder at the Elf.

With the various leader folk agreed on movement, Mario (having repositioned himself while Jareth and Broderick were making talk-talk) takes up point, continuing the direction Jareth had been leading until there's a choice.  He travels with bow ready, as always, his relaxed right hand always near the fletching of his single arrow.

/ooc I don't know if Jareth was planning on selling his original maps, or making a copy of the one they wanted.

OOC:  Yeah I addressed this in the Out Of Character 6 thread, message #79...

But I will also clarify here:  To wit, no.  Jareth isn't selling any of his maps, he doesn't have any copies to sell.  He offered to copy his maps at the standard rate ($100) and given a day, and offered a discount if the maps Broderick have had areas Jareth does not have (and presuming Jareth got a good enough look to make a copy for himself later).

OOC:  I know, but we've already spent 4 days on an OOC misunderstanding.  I'd prefer to slide back into IC with the understanding that a conversation took place about "doing a viewing back at the Guild and making any firm decisions then", not any swaps or what-have-you here in the tunnels.  Just to move things along instead of now having to have that conversation as well.

No Map from me....

OOC:  I'll repeat myself a third time since there is still a misunderstanding:

1 - Jareth is the only person in Nodwin's crew that possess any maps.
2 - Jareth will absolutely not be selling any of his maps, he has no copies with which to part.
3 - Jareth has offered to make Broderick a copy of his maps, at a later date (it will take time to make them) and at a possible rebate should your current map cover area any he does not have, or (far more likely) has more recent information than his have.

This means, there is no possible manner in which Broderick can acquire a map from Nodwin's crew short of theft or massive overpaying (since he'll leave them without a map for at least a day).  So if Broderick really is dead set on acquiring a set of maps right here, right now, we can haggle.  But it will be costly.
