"Yeah.  Almost t'ere.  Be smellin kobold anytime now."

OOC:  If those are the correct directions...

My directions were "Head south, then you'll come across an east/west corridor" with nothing else indicating which way to go.  Or how many more ladders I'm inflicting on François and Evain...

Having switched to the lead while Broderick was blathering, Mario follows directions, turning right at the east-west corridor, then left when he can to go south toward the Guild.

Making sure the group is keeping up, Mario continues to walk point.  The light stone tied to the upper nock of his bow lights his way.

Re: Below Junior House

Jareth will stop the group for a few minutes before they get too close.

"Hang on.  Get a look on this guy.  Make sure ain't some nob from uphill 'fore we drag 'im into t'e Guild."

Jareth will (with help from a laborer) flip the guy over so he can get a good look at his face and clothes.

Then whether he recognizes him or not, Jareth gives him a quick pat down for valuables.

OOC:  02:44, Today: Jareth Mooncalled rolled 13 using 3d6.  Getting a good look at the dead John.

Area Knowledge (Guild), Area Knowledge (Northport), and Current Affairs are all 12.  Any other (locally relevant) Area Knowledge and Heraldry are 11.

02:52, Today: Jareth Mooncalled rolled 13 using 3d6.  Searching the dead John.  Search 11.
Probably couldn't find a fat coin purse if it were glowing and crying out "Help!  I'm stuffed with money and about to burst!"

Mario will look the corpse in the face as well, just for thoroughness sake.

[Private to GM: Lacking Area Knowledge or anything social or political above default, if it's not one of the Brothers, he's unlikely to recognize the deceased.]

"Sounds about like it.  But bein fair, little hair pullin ain't exactly rough trade.  Lot o' dames like it.  But t'en t'e *hair* on that Lady gots t'e mind of it's own."

Jareth helps to arrange the corpse to balance on the wheelbarrow in order to recommense.

After a few minutes he takes up the topic again, but not really directed toward anyone, "Wonder she descended from Stheno, Euryale, or Medusa's lineage?"

He shrugs and then mutters, "Never did like Ovid or Harrison's versions of t'e myths."

"The Brothers never even mentioned the names of the others; just Medusa.  Then again, that mythology was about polytheist heresy to them; they probably wouldn't have taught it at all if they didn't have to explain about Homer.  Start talking about the gods that show up in the Iliad and Odyssey, next thing you know you're teaching a whole unit on those gods.

"Never did find out where Greece was, though."

Re: Below Junior House

"Wow, look at that.  Not exactly a back door from our house into the Guild, but we can get there if we need to.  Tempting to get a piece of chalk while we're here and mark the way.

"I can always tell which way is which."
Mario glances around, then points accurately.  "That way's north, for instance.  But sometimes it takes me a couple trips to memorize a route, especially without good landmarks and in bad light.  I can see times we might prefer to get here below streets, instead of above."
